The Role in Brief:

Product Experience Designer (PXD), Analyst

The Product Experience Designer (PXD) is a creative, technically minded member of EAB's Product organization responsible for transforming product strategy into compelling interactive experiences. Working at the intersection of Product Management, User Experience, and Go-to-Market teams, this role creates high-fidelity prototypes, product demonstrations, and future-state concepts that bring EAB's technology vision to life.

As a core member of the Product organization, the Product Experience Designer participates in product planning, design reviews, roadmap discussions, and development ceremonies to ensure commercial experiences accurately reflect current capabilities while showcasing the future direction of our products. This individual rapidly prototypes new ideas, designs narrative-driven demonstrations, and creates reusable experiences that help customers, partners, and internal teams understand the value of EAB's technology.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys learning new technologies, experimenting with AI-assisted design and prototyping tools, and translating complex product concepts into intuitive, engaging experiences. Success requires strong visual design instincts, attention to detail, curiosity, and the ability to collaborate across Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, Sales, Services, and Customer Success.

Reporting to Product Management and partnering closely with Product Design, this individual will leverage modern design and prototyping platforms—including Figma, AI-assisted design tools, and emerging technologies—to accelerate product storytelling and strengthen EAB's commercial product experiences.

This position is ideally based in Richmond, VA or Washington, DC but is also open to remote employment within the continental United States.

This position is posted at both the Analyst and Senior Analyst levels; candidates are being considered across both levels based on experience, with final level determined at the time of offer.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design high-fidelity interactive prototypes that communicate current product capabilities, future concepts, and strategic product vision.
  • Create narrative-driven product demonstrations that illustrate how EAB technology solves real-world challenges for higher education institutions.
  • Participate as an embedded member of the Product organization by attending product planning sessions, roadmap reviews, design critiques, sprint reviews, and other product ceremonies.
  • Partner closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Engineering teams to ensure prototypes and demonstrations accurately represent product functionality and design direction.
  • Translate product requirements, concepts, and early-stage ideas into compelling visual experiences that support discovery, planning, validation, and commercialization.
  • Build and maintain reusable prototype assets utilizing EAB's design system, component libraries, and modern prototyping platforms.
  • Explore and adopt emerging AI-powered design and prototyping tools that improve the speed and quality of product visualization.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales Engineering, Partner Success, Implementation, and Customer Success teams to create product experiences that support launches, customer conversations, conferences, executive briefings, and strategic initiatives.
  • Develop future-state concepts that help leadership, customers, and internal teams visualize long-term product strategy before engineering development begins.
  • Continuously improve EAB's library of commercial product experiences, ensuring demonstrations remain aligned with evolving product capabilities and roadmap priorities.
  • Participate in stretch projects and strategic initiatives that advance Product and Go-to-Market collaboration.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Product Design, User Experience, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Architecture, Graphic Design, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 1–3+ years of professional experience in UX design, product design, prototyping, product marketing, demonstration design, or related disciplines.
  • Experience building interactive prototypes using Figma or comparable prototyping platforms.
  • Strong visual design skills with exceptional attention to detail and an eye for polished user experiences.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies, software platforms, and AI-assisted design tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with experience working across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • A portfolio demonstrating interactive prototypes, product experiences, UX work, or similar design projects.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Experience working with product management and agile software development teams.
  • Familiarity with modern product design systems and component-based design methodologies.
  • Experience using AI-assisted tools such as Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar technologies to accelerate design and prototyping workflows.
  • Experience creating executive presentations, customer demonstrations, product storytelling assets, or conference experiences.
  • Familiarity with higher education technology or SaaS products.
  • Understanding of design thinking, human-centered design, and product development methodologies.
  • Ability to balance creativity with technical accuracy when representing software products.
  • Demonstrated curiosity, experimentation, and a passion for continuously improving design workflows and emerging technologies.
  • Commitment to embracing a continual learning environment and contributing to a dynamic and welcoming culture of fairness, authenticity, and belonging in support of EAB's mission, values, and aspirations.
