Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments to evaluate mental health, substance abuse, and medical needs specific to the school-aged population.
  • Provide behavioral health services to students, involving individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, treatment planning, and referrals for substance use treatment.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate and timely electronic documentation of mental health evaluations, progress notes, case management activities, and risk assessments.
  • Serve as a vital resource and liaison, connecting students and families to local community resources and external agencies, including medication assistance programs.
  • Engage in collaboration with quality improvement teams, contributing to the design and implementation of effective data collection processes to enhance service delivery.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role is on school-aged youth who may benefit from mental health services. You will work with a diverse student population, addressing varied mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and family dynamics. Your ability to provide age-appropriate interventions and facilitate a supportive environment for students and their families will be crucial.

Qualifications
  • Must possess an active California state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in clinical social work, ideally in a school, community health, or similar setting.
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with adolescents and their families in a mental health or educational setting.
