This role is designed for professionals who are passionate about providing comprehensive mental health care and who thrive in a collaborative, telehealth setting. You will play a crucial role in helping clients develop and achieve meaningful treatment goals, making a positive impact in their mental health journeys.

About the Organization

Positive Pathways Counseling Center is a forward-thinking provider of mental health services located in Atlanta, Georgia. We pride ourselves on our progressive approach to therapy, offering a flexible and supportive working environment that allows our team to focus on quality care without the burdens associated with traditional private practice, such as marketing or administrative overhead. Our mission is to foster mental wellness through innovative therapies and community-integrated resources. At Positive Pathways, diversity, equity, and inclusion are at the core of our values, and we believe in the power of both individual contributions and team collaboration.

Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, using telehealth technology to connect with clients across the state. As part of a close-knit team, you will experience a work culture that encourages transparency and open dialogue, empowering you to share your insights and contribute to the collective success of the team. Here, you will have the opportunity to work without the stressors typically associated with running a private practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations with clients to determine their mental health needs and establish personalized treatment goals.
  • Provide evidence-based therapy focused on prevention and intervention strategies, utilizing modalities suitable for individual, couple, or family therapy.
  • Develop, implement, and review comprehensive treatment plans, ensuring they are tailored to each client's evolving needs.
  • Collaborate effectively with other healthcare providers, placement agencies, and community resources to create a holistic support network for clients.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client sessions and treatment progress, adhering to all compliance and ethical standards.
  • Actively participate in regular staff meetings, case consultations, and training sessions to enhance professional development and team cohesion.
  • Contribute to a positive work culture by promoting values of empathy, respect, and professionalism among colleagues and clients.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be working with a diverse client population, including individuals, couples, and families seeking therapeutic support for a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. By utilizing a person-centered approach, you will empower clients to foster resilience and develop effective coping strategies, ultimately improving their quality of life.

Qualifications
  • A valid and fully recognized mental health license such as LPC, LMFT, or LCSW.
  • A Master's degree or Doctoral degree in social work, mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychology, or a related field.
  • At least one year of post-graduate experience in mental health counseling or a related profession.
  • Thorough knowledge of community mental health resources and a commitment to professional development.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of establishing rapport and trust with clients.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities and a collaborative spirit to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in providing teletherapy services and familiarity with digital therapeutic tools.
  • Background in working with specific populations, such as children, adolescents, or individuals struggling with addiction.
  • Understanding of evidence-based treatment modalities and a commitment to staying updated on industry best practices.
Compensation and Benefits

This role offers an attractive salary range of USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with your experience and qualifications. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

  • CEU reimbursement to support ongoing learning and professional development.
  • Incentives for career growth and achievement.
  • A dedicated support staff to assist with administrative tasks, allowing you to focus solely on your clients.
  • Insurance credentialing assistance for streamlined client referrals.
  • Generous Paid Time Off to promote work-life balance.
  • Comprehensive health benefits, including BCBS PPO/HMO plans and dental coverage.
  • Retirement planning through a 401K plan with employer contributions.
  • Life Insurance options to provide peace of mind.
