We are seeking an experienced  Mid-Level DoD Proposal and Capture Specialist  to work with our Business Development team in developing and submitting proposal bids for Department of War/Defense solicitations and opportunities.    Work location and telework:  Work will be performed on Eastern Standard Time (core hours 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM). Candidates located near Arlington, VA, or Virginia Beach, VA, are preferred; however, hybrid and remote arrangements will be considered for qualified candidates.

Remote employees may be required to travel, at their own expense, to support proposal activities as needed.   YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN AND ELIGIBLE FOR A DOD SECRET CLEARANCE   Position Description: The Mid-Level DoD Proposal and Capture Specialist will assist the Business Development Team through all phases of proposal development, including initial research and opportunity filtering, gate review creation, capability evaluation, proposal team coordination, proposal data calls, proposal drafting and content integration, and serving as the chief proposal "book boss" and compliance expert.

You will set up and run external meetings as needed as part of the proposal process.     Responsibilities and Duties: Opportunity Development: * Search, filter, research, and document relevant opportunities, using your opportunity sleuthing skills to ensure that potential opportunities are not overlooked * Work in a SharePoint List environment, checking and contributing to overall pipeline organization and data accuracy, Proposal Preparation and Presentation * Research opportunity details by gathering data from sources such as GovWin, SAM.gov, and other relevant databases. * Develop capability matrices, gate review materials for leadership, and kickoff briefs.

Proposal Coordination * Lead proposal planning and coordination, including data call creation and collection. * Manage Live Proposal efforts to ensure proposal teams stay on schedule and meet all deadlines. * Serve as "book boss" and use meticulous attention to detail to perform compliance and accuracy checks on all proposal materials.

Writing and Editing * Write, edit, integrate, synthesize with "one voice", and proofread proposal and contract materials while adhering to deadlines. * Edit and refine technical content prepared by others to ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency, and alignment with win themes and company proposal standards. SME Collaboration * Work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop and refine technical sections and other proposal content based on their expertise.

Template and Design Support * Assist with designing and maintaining branded templates in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe Creative Suite. * Develop and maintain a Business Development content library.  Required Qualifications and Skills: * High School Graduate * Minimum 3 years of experience performing similar work * Knowledge of Federal contracting * Comfortable working independently, as a self-starter with strong critical thinking skills.  * Comfortable working with others at all levels of the organization.  * Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.  * Excellent time management and multitasking skills. Ability to work well under pressure and with tight deadlines.  * Willing to work outside of normal business hours as necessary to meet proposal deadlines.  * Able to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams to gather inputs from multiple stakeholders and drive business results.  * Exceptional ability to translate complex topics into clear, concise, and compelling content to educate and inspire decision makers across key industry verticals.  * Advanced knowledge of MS Office, including MS Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Excel, including creating templates, setting styles, using formulas, and macros.  * Ability to integrate material from multiple sources and adjudicate comments and suggestions     Desired Qualifications: * B.S or B.A.

Degree, Certificates in Business Development-related training.  * 5+ years of experience * Knowledge of DoD/DoW/Navy contracting.
