SC&A, Inc. (SC&A) is an employee-owned small business providing engineering, technical, planning, and communications expertise services across public and private sectors. SC&A is dedicated to protecting the well-being and health of individuals, communities, and the environment through stakeholder-based collaborations and contracts. We are currently seeking a Contract Specialist with a history of working with U.S. federal government contracts to join our team.
Successful applicants will be mid-level Contract Specialists (5+ years) with strong U.S. federal contracting experience to support prime contracts, task orders, pricing, and project setup. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a small, fast-moving company and can work independently in a mostly remote environment while collaborating across teams.Responsibilities:
  • Administer U.S. federal prime contracts, task orders, mods, and related documentation
  • Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS and agency-specific requirements
  • Support pricing, BOEs, cost volumes, and financial reviews for proposals and modifications
  • Create and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and project setup in the accounting/ERP system
  • Track deliverables, funding, PoP, and contractual obligations
  • Interpret contract terms and advise internal teams on compliance
  • Assist the Subcontracts Specialist as needed, ensuring proper flow-downs, subcontract compliance, and timely execution of subcontract actions
  • Coordinate with Program Management, Finance, and Operations on contract requirements and reporting
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • 5+ years in U.S. federal contract administration or subcontract management
  • Strong knowledge of FAR and U.S. federal contracting processes
  • Experience with pricing, cost analysis, or financial modeling
  • Hands-on experience with WBS setup and project structure management
  • Strong communication, organization, autonomy, and attention to detail
  • Experience in a small business or lean environment preferred
Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with DCAA compliance
  • Knowledge of JAMIS Prime, Costpoint, Unanet, or similar systems
  • Experience supporting proposals or BOE development

New full-time employees accrue a minimum of 15 days of paid time off (PTO) per year (number of days will be dependent on years of experience) and the company recognizes 11 holidays. Employees are eligible for a 401K and a profit-sharing plan that typically provides an amount equal to 5% of your salary directly into your 401K account. The company benefits are effective on your first day of employment.
The salary range for this position is $95,000 - $115,000 DOE/DOQ.
