PROGRAM CONTROL ANALYST
McLean, VA (Hybrid Remote)
Full Time | Actively Hiring
Synertex is seeking an experienced Program Control Analyst to support government contract operations in the National Capital Region area. This hybrid role serves as a critical link between contractor program management and the government customer, ensuring programs are executed on schedule and within budget while maintaining full financial transparency and compliance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop, maintain, and manage program budgets, cost baselines, and schedules across all phases of contract execution.
  • Monitor and analyze program costs against authorized funding, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions before they escalate.
  • Prepare and deliver financial status reports to the government customer, including Earned Value Management (EVM) reports, Contract Funds Status Reports (CFSR), and Cost Performance Reports (CPR).
  • Support program managers with data-driven insights on cost, schedule, and performance trends.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, functional leads, and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Ensure full compliance with contract terms, government reporting requirements, and applicable regulations.
  • Identify financial and programmatic risks and assist leadership in developing mitigation strategies.
  • Brief senior leadership and government customers on program financial health and forecast.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • 10+ years of experience in program control, financial analysis, or related field within the government contracting environment.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph - required at time of application, no exceptions.
  • Strong proficiency in Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and government reporting standards.
  • Experience with cost-type contracts (CPFF, CPAF, CPIF) and firm-fixed-price (FFP) vehicles.
  • Proficiency in financial management tools and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to brief senior government and contractor leadership.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience supporting Intelligence Community (IC) or DoD programs in the McLean/Northern Virginia corridor.
  • Familiarity with Costpoint, SAP, or similar ERP systems.
  • CDFM, PMP, or EVP certification a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field.
