Type: 3+ Months Contract to Hire

Overview:
We're looking for a Senior Google Cloud Data Architect to design and lead scalable, cloud-native data platforms on Google Cloud Platform. This role focuses on building enterprise-grade data services, enabling data-as-a-product, and supporting analytics, real-time processing, and AI-driven use cases.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and evolve enterprise data architecture on Google Cloud
  • Build scalable batch, streaming, and real-time data pipelines
  • Define standards for data services, APIs, and event-driven architectures
  • Enable secure, governed, and high-quality data delivery
  • Architect data platforms supporting analytics, operational, and AI/ML workloads
  • Develop data models and integration patterns for enterprise-wide consumption
  • Mentor teams and drive best practices in data engineering and architecture

Required Qualifications:
  • 7+ years in data architecture or cloud data engineering
  • Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform tools (BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Bigtable, GKE, etc.)
  • Expertise in SQL and Python/Java
  • Experience with large-scale data pipelines and distributed systems
  • Knowledge of real-time processing and event-driven architecture

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Financial services or high-transaction domain experience
  • Experience with APIs, microservices, and data governance tools
  • Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, Terraform
  • Google Cloud Platform certifications (Professional Data Engineer/Cloud Architect)
