Michigan Broadband is looking for an experienced Marketing Specialist to support our growing marketing efforts. This remote role is ideal for a creative, detail-oriented professional who enjoys hands-on work in digital marketing, content creation, campaign execution, and community outreach. You'll play a key role in helping more homes and businesses discover the benefits of fast, dependable local internet.

Key Responsibilities

  • Digital & Traditional Advertising: Research, create, and place effective ads across platforms including Facebook, Google, local radio, print, and other channels.
  • Social Media Content Creation: Develop engaging posts, graphics, videos, and campaigns for our social channels (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) that highlight our services, promotions, community involvement, and customer stories.
  • Customer Data & Direct Marketing: Build and maintain targeted address lists for direct mail, email, and outreach campaigns; support customer segmentation and list management.
  • Marketing Campaigns: Assist in planning, executing, and tracking multi-channel marketing campaigns (promotions, seasonal offers, fiber expansion announcements, referral programs, etc.).
  • Community Engagement: Provide occasional support for local events sponsorships (some evenings and weekends required).
  • Additional duties as assigned to support overall marketing and community relations goals.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in marketing, preferably in a telco or service-provider environment.
  • Strong skills in social media content creation and scheduling
  • Proficiency with graphic design tools (Adobe Creative Suite or similar).
  • Experience managing advertising platforms (Facebook Ads Manager, Google Ads) preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional local travel and events.
  • Passion for rural communities and technology is a big plus!
