How do I get a job driving for Google Maps?

To work as a driver for Google Maps, you typically need to be hired by a third-party company contracted to collect mapping data, such as survey or data collection firms. These roles often require a valid driver's license, a reliable vehicle, and the ability to follow specific data collection protocols, including capturing street images and verifying map accuracy. Applicants should have good navigation skills and may need to pass background checks or training programs.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in Remote Google Maps Driving, and why are they important?

To thrive in a Remote Google Maps Driving role, strong attention to detail, map navigation skills, and proficiency with mapping software are essential, often requiring a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Familiarity with GPS devices, smartphones, and digital reporting tools is typically necessary for accurate data collection and route verification. Self-motivation, reliability, and effective communication are important soft skills for managing independent assignments and coordinating with support teams remotely. These abilities ensure accurate, up-to-date mapping data and contribute to efficient project completion for mapping and navigation improvement.

Job description

Location: Remote (U.S.)
Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
Salary Range: 190K - 235K

LTS is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to support a major AI-powered modernization initiative within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) health portfolio.

This role will support the design and delivery of enterprise technology solutions focused on modernizing legacy healthcare systems, enabling interoperability, improving operational efficiency, and advancing digital transformation initiatives supporting Veteran healthcare services nationwide.

The ideal candidate will possess deep technical and architectural expertise across enterprise applications, cloud technologies, integration frameworks, and modernization strategies within complex federal healthcare environments. This individual will collaborate closely with program leadership, engineering teams, infrastructure architects, cybersecurity personnel, and business stakeholders to design scalable, secure, and innovative solutions supporting mission-critical healthcare operations. A central responsibility of this role is critically evaluating AI-generated outputs-including code analyses, dependency maps, business rules extractions, and system documentation-for architectural soundness, accuracy, and completeness, and translating validated outputs into actionable solution designs.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead the design and development of enterprise solution architectures supporting VA modernization initiatives.
  • Architect scalable, secure, and resilient solutions integrating legacy healthcare systems with modern enterprise platforms.
  • Support modernization efforts involving VistA/MUMPS-based applications, cloud transformation, and enterprise interoperability, with attention to preserving data integrity and operational continuity across legacy and modernized system boundaries.
  • Critically evaluate AI-generated outputs-including code analyses, dependency maps, workflow diagrams, business rules extractions, and system documentation-for architectural soundness, accuracy, and completeness, and translate validated outputs into solution designs, sprint backlog inputs, and technical roadmap decisions.
  • Define integration and interoperability patterns ensuring data consistency, traceability, and reliable exchange between VistA/MUMPS legacy systems and modernized target platforms throughout the transition.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into end-to-end architectural solutions and implementation strategies that maintain consistency between legacy and modern solutions.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, integration, cybersecurity, DevSecOps, data, and application development teams to ensure cohesive solution delivery.
  • Design cloud-native and hybrid architectures leveraging modern platforms, APIs, and enterprise technologies.
  • Develop solution blueprints, architecture diagrams, technical roadmaps, and design documentation.
  • Ensure alignment with federal cybersecurity, Zero Trust, compliance, and enterprise architecture standards.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend modernization approaches aligned with VA mission objectives, with evaluation scoped to technologies directly applicable to active program deliverables.
  • Participate in architecture governance reviews, technical assessments, and strategic planning sessions.
  • Support system scalability, performance optimization, reliability, and operational sustainability initiatives.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship across engineering and delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 10-15+ years of experience in enterprise solution architecture, systems engineering, or technology modernization initiatives.
  • Experience supporting large-scale federal IT modernization programs, preferably within healthcare or VA environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to critically evaluate AI-generated technical outputs-such as code analyses, dependency maps, business rules extractions, and system documentation-for architectural soundness, accuracy, and completeness, and to translate validated findings into actionable solution designs and implementation decisions.
  • Strong experience designing enterprise solutions across cloud, application, integration, and infrastructure domains.
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and modern application design principles.
  • Experience with hybrid cloud environments including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Strong understanding of APIs, microservices, middleware, and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Experience supporting modernization of legacy applications and enterprise healthcare systems.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, federal compliance standards, and Zero Trust Architecture concepts.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience supporting VA healthcare systems including VistA, CPRS, or VA EHR modernization efforts.
  • Familiarity with MUMPS-based environments and healthcare legacy modernization initiatives.
  • Familiarity with MUMPS-based environments and the ability to assess VistA code, business rules, and system dependencies for technical accuracy and architectural applicability.
  • Experience with healthcare interoperability standards including HL7, FHIR, and CDA.ย
  • Experience supporting DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile delivery environments.
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
  • Familiarity with enterprise data architecture and analytics platforms.
  • Experience supporting cloud migration and digital transformation initiatives in regulated environments.
  • Relevant cloud, architecture, or cybersecurity certifications preferred (AWS, Azure, TOGAF, CISSP, etc.).
