Job Title: Azure Data QA Engineer
Program: DISA (Advantech GS Enterprises)
Location: Remote (Supporting DISA environments)
Clearance: Active Secret or ability to obtain Position Overview Advantech GS Enterprises is seeking an experienced Azure Data QA Engineer to support a DISA data and cloud modernization program. The ideal candidate will lead quality assurance efforts for cloud-based and data-driven systems, ensuring reliability, performance, and data integrity across Azure environments. This role requires close collaboration with development teams, product managers, and stakeholders to implement robust testing strategies aligned with DoD standards and best practices. Key Responsibilities Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of comprehensive test plans, test cases, and QA strategies for cloud-based applications and data platforms. Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated testing processes to ensure high-quality software delivery. Validate data accuracy, integrity, and consistency by writing and executing complex SQL queries. Collaborate closely with development and product teams to understand system requirements, features, and risk areas. Identify, document, track, and validate resolution of software defects, working directly with engineering teams. Develop and maintain test automation scripts using tools such as Selenium, QTP, or similar frameworks, and integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines. Perform regression testing to ensure new enhancements do not impact existing functionality. Review code and provide input on QA standards, testing best practices, and quality improvements. Partner with stakeholders to ensure acceptance criteria are clearly defined, tested, and met. Drive continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and methodologies. Mentor junior QA engineers and promote knowledge sharing across the team. Maintain detailed documentation of test processes, results, metrics, and quality reports. Stay current with emerging trends in quality assurance, test automation, data validation, and cloud technologies. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on data-intensive or cloud-based systems. Strong experience validating data using SQL and supporting data pipelines or analytics platforms. Hands-on experience with manual and automated testing tools and frameworks. Experience working in Azure-based environments and supporting CI/CD workflows. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams. Experience supporting projects in regulated or compliance-driven environments (DoD preferred).
