Contract | Remote | Up to 15% Travel Required


Role Overview

The Epic Professional Billing (PB) Analyst is responsible for the configuration, build,

implementation, and optimization of Epic Resolute Professional Billing. This role partners with

revenue cycle, finance, clinical operations, and technical teams to develop efficient

professional billing workflows and ensure accurate charge capture, claims processing,

reimbursement, and accounts receivable operations.


Key Responsibilities


Epic Professional Billing

• Configure, build, and optimize Epic Resolute Professional Billing functionality

• Develop professional billing workflows, billing rules, workqueues, and system

configuration

• Configure charge capture, claim generation, payment posting, and denial management

workflows

• Troubleshoot complex billing and revenue cycle issues


Revenue Cycle Collaboration

• Partner with revenue cycle, coding, finance, and operational stakeholders

• Translate business requirements into Epic configuration and workflow solutions

• Develop solutions supporting payer requirements, reimbursement, and professional

billing operations

• Identify opportunities to improve revenue cycle performance and workflow efficiency


Implementation and Optimization

• Perform Epic build for implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and optimization

initiatives

• Participate in workflow design and configuration sessions

• Coordinate with other Epic application teams to ensure integrated revenue cycle

workflows

• Develop system enhancements based on operational and business requirements

Testing and Go-Live

• Develop and execute unit, integrated, and user acceptance testing

• Validate professional billing workflows from charge capture through claim and payment

processing

• Participate in go-live planning, cutover, and onsite activities

• Resolve issues and perform configuration changes during post-go-live stabilization


Documentation and Governance

• Maintain build documentation, specifications, and workflow materials

• Follow Epic and organizational build, change control, security, and compliance

standards

• Provide knowledge transfer and technical guidance to team members and operational

stakeholders


Qualifications

• 5+ years of Epic Professional Billing experience

• Epic Resolute Professional Billing certification required

• Strong understanding of professional billing and physician revenue cycle workflows

• Experience with charge capture, claims, workqueues, payment posting, and denial

management

• Experience performing Epic build for implementations, upgrades, or optimization

projects

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Ability to work independently in a remote contract environment


Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Epic Hospital Billing, Claims, or other Revenue Cycle applications

• Experience with payer-specific billing and reimbursement requirements

• Experience in large, multi-facility or multi-specialty healthcare organizations


Travel Requirements

• Up to 15% travel is required for design sessions, stakeholder meetings, testing, go-live

activities, and other project milestones
