• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for elderly clients, identifying individual care needs and crafting tailored treatment plans that promote emotional stability and personal growth.
• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions focused on helping seniors navigate life transitions, manage grief, and address age-related psychological issues through evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
• Work collaboratively with an interprofessional healthcare team to develop comprehensive care plans that incorporate medical, psychological, and social support for geriatric residents.
• Provide education and resources to family members and caregivers on strategies for enhancing the emotional well-being of elderly individuals, ensuring they feel supported and understood.
• Facilitate grief and loss counseling for residents and their families, offering compassionate support during challenging end-of-life circumstances.
• Implement cognitive stimulation programs aimed at improving mental acuity and overall mental health among the elderly, integrating engaging activities designed to boost social interaction and cognitive function.

Your primary focus will be on seniors facing various mental health challenges, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, grief, and adjustment issues related to aging. Understanding the nuances of geriatric mental health care, such as cognitive decline and the socio-emotional aspects of aging, will be critical to your success in this role.

• A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Possession of a valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification in the state of Washington.
• At least four years of professional experience in geriatric counseling or mental health support.
• A deep understanding of aging-related issues and best practices in geriatric mental health interventions.
• Demonstrated competency in applying evidence-based therapeutic methods suited for the elderly population.
• Exceptional communication skills, with an ability to build strong rapport with older clients and their families.

• Specialization or additional training focused on geriatric psychology, grief counseling, or loss and bereavement issues.
• Experience working in a telehealth environment or familiarity with telemedicine tools and platforms.
• Expertise in collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, including medical professionals and social workers.

The salary range for this position is competitive, falling between USD 65,000 and 95,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications, which is complemented by a potential sign-on bonus. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
