Job Title:    Geospatial Solutions Architect
Position Overview Barbaricum is seeking a Geospatial Solutions Architect to design and implement advanced geospatial visualization and mapping solutions that enhance operational awareness and decision-making across USSOUTHCOM. The successful candidate will lead the integration of geospatial capabilities into cloud-based platforms, intelligence workflows, and operational dashboards. Responsibilities · Design and implement enterprise geospatial architectures and visualization solutions. · Develop GIS applications and mapping services supporting operational missions. · Integrate geospatial data into cloud-based applications and dashboards. · Develop spatial analysis and geospatial intelligence capabilities. · Support remote sensing, imagery exploitation, and location-based analytics initiatives. · Collaborate with software developers, data engineers, and mission stakeholders. · Implement geospatial AI/ML solutions where applicable. · Develop technical roadmaps and architecture recommendations. · Ensure interoperability between geospatial systems and enterprise platforms. · Document geospatial architectures, standards, and implementation guidance. Required Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geospatial Science, GIS, or related field. · Five (5) years of equivalent professional experience may be substituted for a degree. · Demonstrated experience developing GIS solutions using ESRI ArcGIS, QGIS, or comparable platforms. · Experience integrating geospatial data into cloud-based applications. · Experience with spatial analysis and geospatial data processing. · Experience with mapping services, web GIS technologies, and geospatial databases. · Experience supporting enterprise geospatial architectures. Desired Qualifications · ESRI ArcGIS Desktop Associate certification. · Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP) certification. · Experience supporting DoD, Intelligence Community, or Combatant Command missions. · Experience with geospatial AI/ML applications. · Experience with remote sensing and imagery analysis. · Familiarity with cloud-native geospatial services and data platforms.
