• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of clients' mental health needs, incorporating evidence-based diagnostic methodologies.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to clients' individual circumstances and goals, ensuring a client-centered approach.
• Facilitate and coordinate referrals to local community resources, including educational institutions and support services for incarcerated individuals, to enhance the continuum of care.
• Educate and empower clients and their families regarding mental health issues and behavioral strategies to promote adherence to treatment plans and foster healthier lifestyles.
• Support ongoing treatment programs, including alcohol and sexual abuse counseling, to provide comprehensive care for clients facing multiple challenges.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and program evaluations to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and improve quality of service delivery.
• Stay current with best practices and emerging trends in mental health counseling to continually enhance your skills and service effectiveness.

As a Mental Health Counselor at Mend Care, you will work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals from various socioeconomic backgrounds, ages, and cultural experiences. Our outreach includes children, adolescents, and adults, addressing complex mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and more. Your expertise will play a vital role in helping clients navigate their challenges and achieve positive health outcomes.

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A minimum of two years of experience in providing mental health counseling services.
• Strong knowledge of psychological theories, treatment methodologies, and therapeutic approaches relevant to individual differences and human behavior.
• Proficient in interview techniques, with an understanding of current trends and best practices within the mental health field.

• Experience working with clients with a history of substance abuse or trauma.
• Familiarity with community resources and support systems within the Tualatin area.
• Experience with teletherapy or remote counseling modalities.
