As a Survey Project Manager with Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in our Martinsburg, West Virginia office, you'll have an opportunity to bring your expertise to local, community focused projects in a collaborative environment where your leadership drives success across diverse industries. You'll partner with our management teams to mentor and assist in the professional development of the staff, including the performance of annual reviews and the establishment of development goals. Concurrently, our senior management teams will work with you to customize your individual career path through a variety of professional development and mentoring activities related to your project management, leadership, and business development skills.

CEC Martinsburg is part of our West Virginia operations, which also includes offices in Bridgeport and Charleston. Opened in 2022, CEC Martinsburg was born out of an opportunity to serve the City of Martinsburg and expands CEC's presence in West Virginia. The establishment of the office is a show of our dedication and desire to provide client-focused, high-quality, innovative services to our clients in the Eastern Panhandle and surrounding areas. Responsibilities:

  • Manage boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, utility, route, and construction surveys
  • Develop proposals, budgets, and scopes of work for survey projects
  • Oversee field and office staff to ensure quality, accuracy, and timely delivery
  • Perform QA/QC on survey deliverables and data processing
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and government officials throughout the project life-cycle
  • Mentor junior staff and support professional development goals
  • Partner with senior leadership on strategic growth and team development

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of Surveying experience
  • Bachelor's in Survey, Geomatics (or related field) or comparable experience;
  • Professional Land Surveyor license (PS/PLS) in the state of West Virginia or ability to obtain (preferred)
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and survey data processing software such as Trimble Business Center
  • Deep understanding of GPS/GNSS, control networks, and modern survey methods
  • Proven ability to manage project portfolio's and budgets
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with UAV, LiDAR, and remote sensing technologies (preferred)
  • Experience supporting various sectors such as Real Estate, Energy, Public and Private Sectors
  • Experience in scope of service and budget (proposal) development, and demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably
