Business Overview:

The team supports a diverse technology portfolio spanning Fidelity Canada's core transfer agency and workflow systems, as well as its internet-facing and digital application assets. This role will primarily focus on the core systems area while also offering exposure across adjacent teams and platforms. The successful candidate will play an important role in modernization initiatives, while building a strong understanding of the current ecosystem by contributing across different systems and teams as needed to help identify opportunities for improvement and future-state design.

How You'll Make an Impact:

We are looking for a full-stack Software Developer who will take a key role on our team. The ideal candidate must have knowledge in all stages of software development and seamlessly move between back-end development and front-end development. You will be working alongside and collaborating with our team architects and developers, and you will be responsible for creation and support for Fidelity Canada's web properties.

This includes:

  • Develop, code, install, test, debug, and document applications
  • Ensure security of related applications
  • Communicate with business and participate in scrum meetings

What We Are Looking For:

  • University degree, preferably in the field of Computer Science or equivalent working experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years as a full stack developer
  • Solid understanding and working knowledge of technology stack e.g. React/Angular, Java, Spring/Spring boot, API (REST/SOAP), JavaScript, HTML/HTML5, XHTML, CSS, CSS3, jQuery, SQL/PLSQL
  • Hands on with DevOps and complete SDLC cycle till production release and support
  • Prior Investment or Mutual Fund experience is an asset
  • Experience in leveraging artificial intelligence to solve problems creatively is an asset
