Strategic Risk Solutions Inc. (SRS) is seeking a Senior Account Manager, Captive Insurance to oversee a portfolio of captive insurance company clients.
The successful candidate will be responsible for client service delivery, financial statement oversight, regulatory reporting, audit coordination, board meeting preparation, and account team leadership. This position requires substantial captive insurance experience and the ability to serve as a senior-level resource for clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of captive insurance clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with client executives, board members, regulators, auditors, actuaries, tax advisors, and banking partners.
  • Lead client meetings and participate in board meetings and strategic planning discussions.
  • Provide timely and professional written and verbal communication regarding client financial, regulatory, and operational matters.

Financial Reporting & Accounting Oversight
  • Review and oversee preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Review account reconciliations, journal entries, and accounting deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support statutory reporting and NAIC-related filings where applicable.

Regulatory & Compliance Management
  • Oversee preparation and submission of domicile regulatory filings.
  • Coordinate annual reports, premium tax filings, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with regulators and external service providers to ensure timely compliance.
  • Assist clients in responding to regulatory inquiries and examinations.

Audit & Examination Support
  • Manage annual financial statement audits and regulatory examinations.
  • Coordinate information requests, documentation, and communication among auditors, regulators, and clients.
  • Review audit deliverables and ensure timely issue resolution.

Leadership & Team Development
  • Serve as a mentor and resource for junior accounting and account management staff.
  • Support training, development, and technical coaching initiatives.
  • Review work product and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Foster collaboration, accountability, and service excellence across account teams.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience with insurance accounting, regulatory reporting, audits, examinations, and client account management is required.
  • 6+ years of progressive accounting, captive management, or insurance accounting experience.
  • Captive insurance experience is required.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and project management abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience managing client relationships and serving as a primary point of contact.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and statutory insurance accounting principles.
