Premise Therapy Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate licensed mental health therapist to join our remote team, specializing in trauma-informed care. This full-time position offers the unique opportunity to provide therapeutic support to individuals who have experienced trauma, helping them navigate their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities

As a mental health therapist at Premise Therapy Center, your role will encompass a variety of important tasks, including:

  • Conducting comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate the individual experiences of patients, including their trauma histories, and identifying personalized treatment strategies.
  • Creating and implementing tailored treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery and building resilience, ensuring that each patient receives care that aligns with their specific needs.
  • Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing and recovery.
  • Conducting individual and group therapy sessions designed to help patients process their trauma, establish healthy coping mechanisms, and foster emotional growth.
  • Collaborating closely with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure an integrated and holistic approach to patient care.
  • Providing crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, utilizing strong judgment and immediate response skills.
  • Educating patients and their families on trauma responses, effective coping strategies, and available mental health resources to promote overall understanding and healing.

Qualifications

  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
  • A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, demonstrating expertise in mental health, particularly in trauma care.
