Premise Therapy Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate licensed mental health therapist to join our remote team, specializing in trauma-informed care. The telehealth platform we utilize is designed to maintain effective communication and collaboration among team members, ensuring that our therapists can deliver high-quality care while engaging with patients efficiently from their own environments.

As a mental health therapist at Premise Therapy Center, your role will encompass a variety of important tasks, including:

• Conducting comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate the individual experiences of patients, including their trauma histories, and identifying personalized treatment strategies.
• Creating and implementing tailored treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery and building resilience, ensuring that each patient receives care that aligns with their specific needs.
• Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing and recovery.
• Conducting individual and group therapy sessions designed to help patients process their trauma, establish healthy coping mechanisms, and foster emotional growth.
• Collaborating closely with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure an integrated and holistic approach to patient care.
• Providing crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, utilizing strong judgment and immediate response skills.
• Educating patients and their families on trauma responses, effective coping strategies, and available mental health resources to promote overall understanding and healing.
• Maintaining precise and confidential patient records in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance and privacy.
• Participating in regular case consultations, team meetings, and continuing education to stay abreast of the latest developments in trauma-informed care.
• Engaging in research and staying updated on proven methodologies and best practices in trauma therapy to continuously enhance service delivery.

The primary clientele include individuals who have experienced varying degrees of trauma, whether it be from acute incidents or chronic conditions affecting their mental well-being. Your understanding of trauma-related disorders and commitment to compassionate care will be paramount in fostering therapeutic relationships and improving client outcomes.

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, demonstrating expertise in mental health, particularly in trauma care.
• A strong foundation in trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment methodologies, and methods for promoting resilience among patients.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, exemplifying a non-judgmental and compassionate approach.
• The ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations and effectively respond to crises.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency with relevant computer applications.
• A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team structure to achieve the best outcomes for patients.

While not mandatory, candidates with a strong background in delivering trauma-focused therapies, actively conducting EMDR, TF-CBT, or other trauma interventions will be at an advantage in this role. Additionally, experience in educational outreach to patients and their families is preferred, supporting the overall goal of client empowerment and informed care.
