JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The Department of Campus Recreation is seeking Penn State students to work as Intramural Sports officials. This position is responsible for officiating at IM sport competitions within an assigned sport area (basketball, flag football, soccer, volleyball, softball, turf hockey).Knowledge of the sport, rules of play, and officiating experience are not required but preferred. Training will be provided for each individual sport.

Applicants mustbe current Penn State-University Park studentsand available to work nights andsomeweekends.Successful applicants can choose to work specific sports or work multiple sports and multiple sessions.Positions are available year-round. Applications will be kept on file andwill be reviewed as positions become available.

Campus Recreation is a department within Student Affairs that provides fitness, wellness, and recreational programs to the campus community through the operation and administration of the new expanded and renovated 200,000 sqft.Intramural Building, the McCoy Natatorium, the 700-acre Stone Valley Outdoor Recreation Area, a Tennis Center including six clay courts and four indoor courts, the White Building, Outdoor Adventures, Aquatics, Club Sports, Fitness and Wellness Programs, and Intramural Sports.
