Hope Horizon Diagnostic Health is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team. This role focuses on providing essential therapeutic support to individuals and families dealing with substance abuse issues and co-occurring mental health disorders. Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting comprehensive individual, family, and group therapy sessions tailored to the unique needs of clients.
  • Performing initial assessments and continuous evaluations to ascertain each client's progression and needs.
  • Identifying and understanding clients’ backgrounds, strengths, and weaknesses to collaboratively set therapeutic goals.
  • Helping clients navigate life transitions and challenges such as illness, divorce, unemployment, and relationship issues.
  • Researching, referring, and advocating for community resources to aid clients, including but not limited to food assistance, healthcare access, and childcare services.
  • Implementing evidence-based practices and interventions, particularly targeting children and family dynamics.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The clientele you will serve includes individuals grappling with substance abuse as well as various mental health disorders. You will work closely with families to address relational dynamics that could be affected by these challenges. Your role is critical in providing a safe and therapeutic space for clients to express their emotions, address life difficulties, and work toward recovery.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
  • An active and appropriate license in Marriage and Family Therapy, with no current suspensions or probation.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience delivering mental health services in a therapeutic setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on creating a supportive therapeutic relationship.
Preferred Experience
  • Advanced training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) or other therapeutic modalities is preferred but not essential.
  • Experience with evidence-based practices specifically tailored for children and families is advantageous.
