Job Description:

The Product Manager is responsible for driving growth, profitability, market strategy, and vendor partnerships for Batory Foods' portfolio of dietary fibers and nutritional functional ingredients serving the food, beverage, and supplement industries. This role combines commercial acumen, market intelligence, and technical product expertise to identify growth opportunities, optimize margins, and strengthen Batory's competitive position.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships with key suppliers, including contract negotiations and business planning.
  • Collaborate with vendors to understand product functionality, applications, and market opportunities.
  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert, providing guidance and training to sales teams on product benefits, applications, and market positioning.
  • Partner with Sales, Supply Chain, and Inventory teams to maximize profitability, optimize pricing strategies, and manage inventory performance.
  • Identify new market opportunities, target segments, and growth initiatives to expand sales and market share.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and pricing dynamics to support strategic decision-making.
  • Work cross-functionally to develop and execute product line and go-to-market strategies.
  • Support customer engagement through sales meetings, customer visits, and collaborative business development efforts.
  • Contribute to growth objectives by expanding product penetration within existing accounts and acquiring new opportunities.
  • Manage multiple product lines and SKUs while maintaining focus on margin improvement and revenue growth.
  • Judicious management of SKU
  • Participate in employee training of the product.
  • Continuous personal improvement by identifying training opportunities.
  • Increase sales in both growth profit & volume 10-15% per year.
  • Increase in customer line items per sales order.

Education  and formal training:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Food Science, Engineering, Marketing, or a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in Product Management, Commercial Sales, or a related role within the food ingredients industry.
  • Strong knowledge of dietary fibers and nutritional functional ingredients, including their applications in food, beverage, and supplement markets.
  • Proven experience developing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and driving profitable growth.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Copilot, ERP, CRM, and D365 systems.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%, including overnight travel.
  • Acts with integrity and professionalism, fostering trust and collaboration across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates initiative, accountability, and the ability to work independently.
  • Possesses strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
