Required Skills
  • 8+ years of experience in application support, application development, platform support, or IT engineering
  • Strong experience supporting Life Sciences applications across Translational Sciences, Clinical Data Management, Biostatistics, and Statistical Programming

  • Knowledge of IAM, including user provisioning and de-provisioning automation
  • Experience supporting security reviews, infrastructure requirements, compliance, validation, and operational readiness
  • Strong experience creating and maintaining runbooks, support procedures, knowledge articles, escalation paths, and operational documentation
  • Experience with P1 incident management, production troubleshooting, ticket triage, and issue resolution
  • Experience coordinating with Infrastructure, Security, IAM, Enterprise Architecture, vendors, and business stakeholders
  • Strong vendor management experience, including SLA adherence, incident trends, service quality, and continuous improvement
  • Strong understanding of Life Sciences scientific data management, with exposure to protein analysis, mass spectrometry, bioinformatics, or related applications preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field preferred
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the IT managed services lead for applications supporting Translational Sciences and Development.
  • Provide hands-on technical support for application administration, troubleshooting, configuration, upgrades, and production operations.
  • Perform or coordinate application and database installation, configuration, patching, deployment, and validation activities.
  • Support applications and infrastructure within Azure environments.
  • Coordinate onboarding of new applications with Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, Security, IAM, and other IT teams.
  • Assess new applications and significant application changes for technical fit, hosting model, integrations, security, database requirements, compliance, and operational readiness.
  • Prepare technical materials for technology review boards, including solution summaries, architecture considerations, risks, dependencies, and recommendations.
  • Coordinate application onboarding, vulnerability remediation, environment setup, and production readiness.
  • Provide user support, including logging, triaging, responding to, and coordinating resolution of P1 and production issues.
  • Work with IAM teams to automate user access provisioning and de-provisioning where feasible.
  • Create and maintain runbooks, support documentation, escalation procedures, and operational readiness materials.
  • Monitor vendor performance, SLA adherence, operational metrics, recurring issues, and service quality.
  • Communicate risks, issues, decisions, and status updates to IT leadership, business stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement while maintaining production stability and a strong customer-service mindset.
