About Olson, A Division of Patriot Growth Insurance Services: The Olson Group, located in Omaha, Nebraska, is an employee benefits consulting firm with an emphasis in retirement planning and group insurance plans. Since its inception in 2003, The Olson Group has continued to provide outstanding customer service and retain 90% of its customers for more than 15 years.
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Retirement Plan Manager to lead the delivery and execution of group retirement and individual wealth services. This role ensures a high-quality client experience while overseeing day-to-day plan operations, compliance, and service delivery. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, capable of managing client relationships, driving operational consistency, and supporting business growth. They play a critical role in aligning client service, advisor support, and retirement plan execution.
Work Arrangement: This is a full-time, remote position reporting to our office in Omaha, NE.
Professional Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for group retirement and individual wealth planning clients, delivering responsive and high-quality service
  • Oversee daily operations for retirement plans including 401(k), 403(b), 401(a), 457(b), and 414(h), ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Coordinate client meetings, reviews, and service activities while maintaining organized records and documentation within CRM systems
  • Deliver participant education sessions and respond to inquiries related to retirement planning, investments, and risk considerations
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and coordinate with vendors, broker/dealers, and internal stakeholders
  • Generate reports and track key metrics to monitor client activity, service levels, and operational performance
  • Support advisors and internal teams to ensure alignment, execution, and consistent service delivery
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance client experience, and expand retirement service offerings

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in retirement plan management or retirement services
  • Active Nebraska Life & Health Insurance License
  • Series 6 or Series 7 and Series 63/65/66 licenses required
  • Strong knowledge of retirement plans including 401(k), 403(b), 401(a), 457(b), and 414(h)
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while building and maintaining strong client relationships

Pay Range: $70,000 - $90,000 per year depending on experience.
*A wide salary range is posted for this position and any job offer is based upon a salary analysis to comply with the required state pay transparency law. The salary analysis considers relevant experience, education, certifications, and seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work. There is no guarantee an offer will be at the top of the posted range based on the salary analysis.
