Job description

The Solution Architect Record-to-Report (R2R) is responsible for the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Finance, Controlling, and Accounting solutions within Kardex's global SAP S/4HANA landscape.
The role acts as a trusted IT partner for Finance business stakeholders and translates business requirements into scalable, standardized, and sustainable SAP solutions aligned with Kardex's ERP strategy and enterprise architecture principles.
Working closely with Senior Solution Architects, Global Process Owners, SAP application teams, and implementation partners, the role supports the harmonization and optimization of global Record-to-Report processes while contributing to the successful execution of the Kardex Transformation Program.

Your tasks

Business & Solution Architecture

  • Analyze and translate finance, controlling, and accounting business requirements into scalable and sustainable SAP S/4HANA solution designs.
  • Drive process standardization and identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and optimize Record-to-Report processes.
  • Ensure alignment with global architecture principles, SAP standards, and Kardex template requirements.

SAP Solution Design & Governance

  • Design, document, and review SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions aligned with business requirements and architecture standards.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and evolution of the global SAP Finance template.
  • Ensure adoption of SAP standard functionality and minimize unnecessary custom developments.
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects from other process domains to ensure end-to-end process integration.

Transformation & Project Delivery

  • Support the Kardex Transformation Program through workshops, fit-gap analyses, solution design, testing, rollout, and deployment activities.
  • Collaborate with implementation partners to ensure high-quality delivery of agreed solutions.

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as trusted advisor to finance, controlling, and accounting stakeholders regarding SAP Finance capabilities and best practices.
  • Support through requirements workshops, process improvement initiatives, and solution design discussions.
  • Support escalation management and issue resolution for complex business and application topics.

Operational Support & Continuous Improvement

  • Provide expert support for complex Finance-related SAP incidents, problems, and enhancement requests.
  • Coordinate and monitor 3rd-level support provided by implementation- and support-partners.
  • Ensure solution quality, stability, maintainability, and effective knowledge transfer

Education:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in information technology, Business Informatics, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong understanding of finance, controlling, and accounting business processes
  • Fluent in English
  • SAP S/4HANA Finance certifications are considered an advantage

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in SAP Finance and Controlling environments
  • Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA in Finance-related process areas
  • Experience with SAP FI, CO, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Revenue Accounting & Reporting, Internal Orders, and Financial Reporting
  • Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into SAP solution designs
  • Experience working with implementation partners and business stakeholders in an international environment
  • Experience supporting ERP projects, rollouts, system enhancements, or transformation initiatives
  • Knowledge of end-to-end integration points between Finance and cross-functional business processes
  • Knowledge about legal finance requirements in the Americas
  • Experience with Sovos Tax Solutions for SAP preferred

Other:

  • The position requires occasional domestic and international travel. During the first 12-18 months, increased travel is expected to support global transformation, template design, rollout, and deployment activities across Kardex locations.
