Inner Peace Psychotherapy Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our community health clinic, specializing in geriatric care. • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, identifying emotional, psychological, and social needs of senior clients.
• Deliver individual and group counseling sessions focused on managing life transitions, grief, and the emotional challenges associated with aging.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to design and implement personalized care plans that address individual client needs and preferences.
• Educate clients, families, and caregivers about emotional wellness strategies, coping mechanisms, and available community resources.
• Facilitate grief and loss counseling sessions that provide support for clients and their families facing end-of-life issues.
• Implement cognitive and mental health interventions to bolster mental agility and improve the quality of life for elderly clients.

The primary focus of this role is serving older adults who experience mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, grief, and adjustment disorders. Our clients often face significant life transitions, including changes in health, loss of loved ones, and adaptation to retirement or diminished independence. • A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.
• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification in the state of Washington.
• Demonstrated understanding of geriatric mental health issues and therapeutic approaches tailored for the elderly.

• Experience providing effective counseling services to older adults, particularly in a community health or geriatric-focused role.
• Additional training or certification in grief counseling, trauma-informed care, or hospice/palliative support.
• Proficiency in using telehealth platforms and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
