As a fully remote organization, First Base Therapy leverages advanced telehealth technologies to facilitate effective communication and therapy sessions with clients. The remote work setting offers flexibility, with scheduled sessions primarily taking place Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life.

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments, utilizing evidence-based practices to evaluate client needs and establish rapport.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each client’s unique circumstances, preferences, and therapeutic goals.
• Facilitate therapy sessions via telehealth, utilizing innovative therapeutic modalities and techniques to enhance client engagement and outcomes.
• Provide ongoing support in helping clients develop effective coping strategies and life skills for long-term success and improved mental health.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers and specialists to ensure comprehensive care and address multifaceted client needs.
• Document client progress accurately in electronic health records (EHR) and maintain adherence to confidentiality and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate an understanding and sensitivity to the diverse backgrounds of clients we serve. Our client base encompasses individuals facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use issues, and family dynamics. • A Master’s degree in a mental health discipline such as social work, marriage and family therapy, or counseling.
• Current licensure as an LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC in the state of California is required.
• A minimum of two years of post-graduate clinical experience as a mental health counselor.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with clients.
• Experience in crisis intervention and a solid understanding of therapeutic techniques tailored to individual needs.

• Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations and addressing a wide range of mental health issues.
• Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and best practices in remote counseling.
• Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems for documenting client progress.
