Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day duties as a Licensed Professional Counselor will include, but are not limited to:

• Providing individualized therapy strategies by assessing clients’ needs through comprehensive evaluations and interviews.
• Delivering evidence-supported therapeutic methods, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy to diverse groups, families, and individuals.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop holistic care plans and ensure comprehensive service delivery.
• Maintaining accurate documentation and clinical records in compliance with ethical standards and legal requirements.
• Participating in regular workshops and professional development opportunities to stay abreast of the latest advancements in mental health and counseling practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Somerset Counseling Services serves a wide array of clients, including children, adolescents, families, and adults grappling with various mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance misuse. Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• An active and unrestricted license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in Colorado.
• A minimum of two years of counseling experience, preferably in a clinical setting.
• A strong understanding of legal and ethical standards in counseling practice.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating the ability to build rapport across a diverse client base.
• Proven experience working collaboratively within a healthcare team environment.
• Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software and related technologies.

Preferred Experience

While not required, the following experiences are highly preferred:

• Specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse counseling.
