• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through initial consultations, establishing a clear understanding of each client's unique history and needs.
• Document case details meticulously from the first client interaction to the conclusion of treatment, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Develop well-informed intervention and recovery plans tailored for individuals, couples, families, and groups, effectively addressing diverse mental health challenges.
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based modalities to promote healing and personal growth.
• Continuously monitor client progress against treatment goals, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychologists, physicians, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive client care.
• Maintain consistent communication with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients who are hospitalized, ensuring continuity of care.
• Identify potential obstacles to recovery and proactively implement strategies to mitigate these challenges, enhancing the effectiveness of treatment.
• Support family members and primary caregivers to aid in managing mental and behavioral difficulties, providing them with resources and education.

Our clients range in age and background, presenting a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and substance use disorders. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will have the opportunity to make impactful contributions to their lives by providing culturally sensitive and personalized care.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in California.
• A pass score in the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Previous experience working as a mental health counselor, showcasing a proven track record of effective client interventions.
• Proficient in using electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, ensuring accurate documentation and integration of client care.

• Experience addressing complex emotional and physical health conditions, including addiction disorders.
• Familiarity with the best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
• An in-depth understanding of psychotropic medications and their effects on mental health treatments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with exceptional interpersonal abilities that enhance client engagement and trust.
