Job Description

Strang is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer/Designer to join our growing organization and be a part of a Design Synchronicity Culture. As an Electrical Engineer/Designer, you will work closely with Strang's team of design professionals on a variety of exciting project types.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with clients and the project design team to engineer the appropriate electrical systems for each unique project
  • Engineer, calculate, and document building electrical distribution system, lighting and controls, and fire alarm systems
  • Select and specify devices, fixtures, components, and equipment
  • Oversee the production of construction documents (such as plans, details, schedules, specifications)
  • Estimate project costs
  • Assist with construction administration
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of consulting experience and Wisconsin licensure (preferred) as a Professional Engineer or Designer
  • Possess innovative thinking skills and a passion for architecture and engineering design
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of electrical systems for complex building types
  • Familiar with the current Electrical and Building Codes
  • Knowledge of power distribution systems, interior and exterior lighting, and life safety systems (required)
  • Experience with architectural and specialty lighting design (preferred)
  • Software Experience: Revit, SKM Power Tools, AG132, or Elum Tools (preferred)
  • Ability to think creatively and operate in a dynamic multi-tasking team setting
