What is a remote fintech?

A Remote Fintech job involves working in the financial technology industry from a remote location, using digital tools to develop, manage, or support financial services. These roles can include software development, data analysis, compliance, customer support, and product management. Remote Fintech jobs enable professionals to collaborate with global teams while leveraging technology to improve banking, payments, investing, and other financial services.

What does a remote fintech do?

Professionals in Remote Fintech roles often spend their day analyzing financial data, developing or maintaining digital financial products, and solving technical challenges related to payments or risk management. They collaborate virtually with cross-functional teams such as engineers, product managers, and compliance specialists to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance. Remote fintech professionals frequently participate in stand-up meetings, document technical or financial processes, and stay updated on emerging technologies and trends. This role requires adaptability and proactive communication to thrive in a fully digital and fast-paced work environment.

What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive in a remote fintech role?

To excel in a Remote Fintech role, you need a strong understanding of finance, technology, and data analysis, often supported by a degree in finance, computer science, or a related field. Familiarity with financial platforms (such as Stripe or Plaid), coding languages (like Python or SQL), and industry certifications like CFA or FinTech-specific credentials is highly valued. Outstanding communication, problem-solving, and self-motivation skills are especially important when working remotely and collaborating across time zones. These abilities are essential for building innovative fintech solutions and fostering effective teamwork in a digital-first environment.

Is it hard to get a job in remote fintech?

Securing a remote fintech job can be competitive, but candidates with relevant skills such as financial technology knowledge, programming, or data analysis often have an advantage. Job description

Location: Remote (United States)

Work Model: Remote

Industry: Fintech (spend management and cards)

Compensation: ~$150K base, ~$200K total compensation (base plus performance bonus)

About the Company

Our partner is a fast-growing fintech building spend management and card products for real, brick-and-mortar small businesses. They have crossed $15M in revenue, recently reached a $125M valuation, and are heading into their next major fundraise. The team is intentionally lean, hungry, and built for people who want to own outcomes.

The Opportunity

This is a founding growth role for a full-stack growth marketer who can both build demand and help convert it. You will own omni-channel growth across paid ads, email, SEO, and the broader marketing engine, while staying close enough to the funnel to help move real deals forward.

You will work directly with the founders and have a clear path to grow as the company scales.

Responsibilities
  • Own and execute omni-channel growth marketing, including paid ads, email sequences, and SEO.
  • Build, test, and optimize demand-generation campaigns end to end.
  • Track and report on growth analytics to sharpen what is working.
  • Engage leads directly and help convert demand into closed business.
  • Partner closely with the founders to set and hit growth targets.
Requirements
  • 1+ years in a go-to-market or marketing role, ideally with omni-channel marketing experience.
  • Hands-on growth marketing skills across channels like email, paid ads, and SEO.
  • Charisma and comfort engaging prospects directly, including by phone.
  • High hustle and strong follow-up discipline.
  • Bonus: experience at an early-stage startup.
