Position Overview

Community of Hope Counseling Services is actively seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) dedicated to providing comprehensive mental health support in a remote school-based setting. Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, allowing you to work flexibly while making a significant impact in the lives of students throughout Athens, Georgia. You will be part of a cohesive team that values collaboration. The typical work hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM; however, flexibility for occasional evening or weekend commitments will be necessary to accommodate client needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for students dealing with major mental illnesses and severe emotional disorders.
  • Engage proactively with educational staff to develop and implement individualized treatment strategies tailored to each student’s needs.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions and individual counseling to enhance coping skills, emotional intelligence, and psychosocial well-being.
  • Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings to strategize and advance collective goals aimed at improving student mental health outcomes.
  • Document client interactions and treatment notes accurately, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and professional ethical standards.
  • Foster a respectful, inclusive atmosphere by working effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with varying interpersonal styles.
  • Continuously seek to enhance personal and team performance through ongoing professional development initiatives.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role is to support school-aged children who exhibit symptoms of mental health challenges. You will work intricately with students needing emotional support, crisis intervention, or long-term therapeutic strategies, improving their resilience and coping mechanisms.

Qualifications
  • Current licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Georgia is mandatory.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Strong familiarity with assessment and treatment methodologies suitable for youth populations.
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and compassionately.
