Overview

A growing organization in the education space is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and strategic financial analysis across the business. This is a high-visibility opportunity for a strong finance professional who enjoys partnering with cross-functional stakeholders, improving reporting processes, and using data to drive business decisions.

This role is ideal for someone who is both analytically strong and systems-savvy, with experience supporting planning processes in a dynamic, evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
  • Support strategic planning initiatives and broader business decision-making
  • Analyze financial and operational performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Develop financial models, KPIs, and reporting to support leadership decision-making
  • Create, maintain, and distribute monthly internal reporting packages
  • Structure and analyze complex data sets to deliver actionable insights
  • Partner with internal stakeholders across operations, shared services, and leadership teams
  • Support cross-functional initiatives through financial analysis and reporting
  • Serve as a liaison to accounting on invoicing, collections, and general ledger-related questions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of relevant financial analysis experience
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and cross-functional projects
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial insights clearly to various stakeholders
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience with planning and budgeting tools such as Adaptive, Hyperion, or Oracle
  • Experience with SQL, Tableau, BI360, Office Connect, or similar reporting tools
  • Experience with Great Plains or similar accounting software
  • Strong interest in process improvement, automation, and business intelligence tools
