• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess client needs, strengths, and challenges.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans, utilizing evidence-based treatment modalities tailored to each client.
• Facilitate therapy sessions with individuals, couples, and families, providing a warm and safe environment for dialogue and healing.
• Regularly monitor and adjust treatment plans based on client progress and feedback, fostering an adaptive therapeutic approach.
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date client documentation while maintaining strict confidentiality, in adherence to ethical guidelines and state regulations.
• Engage actively in professional development through ongoing training and participate in supervision and peer review processes.
• Collaborate with other health professionals within our team to ensure comprehensive care for clients, utilizing multi-disciplinary approaches when necessary.

As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with Dare to Dream, you will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and other mental health challenges. Our clients come from various backgrounds, and you will provide culturally competent services that respect and honor each individual’s unique circumstances and goals.

• A Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• Current and valid LCMHC licensure in the state of Vermont is mandatory.
• Demonstrated experience in working with diverse populations and a deep understanding of trauma-informed care.
• Proficiency in evidence-based treatment techniques and methodologies to effectively address a range of mental health issues.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with an emphasis on empathy and understanding.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Ideal candidates will possess at least two years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, with a proven track record of developing effective therapy plans and successfully guiding clients through their therapeutic journeys. Experience in group therapy modalities or specialized populations (e.g., children/adolescents, families) is a plus. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote counseling techniques will be advantageous in adapting to our flexible work environment.
