Strategic Finance Implementation Consultant

Location: Remote (U.S. Only)
Compensation: $150,000–$190,000 base + equity

About the Opportunity

FocusPoint is representing a rapidly growing B2B SaaS company that helps finance teams—and leaders across sales, people, operations, and engineering—collaboratively model and understand their forward-looking financial performance. Their platform centralizes forecasting, budgeting, and scenario planning, making financial insights accessible and actionable across the organization.

The company is expanding its post-sales team and seeking Strategic Finance Implementation Consultants who combine deep FP&A expertise with strong customer-facing skills. This role sits at the intersection of finance, product enablement, and consulting.

You will work directly with CFOs, VPs of Finance, and operational leaders at mid-market companies to build out financial models, guide strategic conversations, and ensure customers fully adopt and leverage the platform.


What You’ll Do
  • Manage a portfolio of mid-market customers

  • Lead onboarding sessions, trainings, and live working meetings with finance teams

  • Translate customer assumptions into financial forecasts, budgets, and scenario models

  • Build and iterate financial models within the platform

  • Help customers understand implications of hiring, budgeting, and operational decisions

  • Troubleshoot data issues; perform light SQL/data-mapping work when needed

  • Prioritize multiple inbound customer requests across your portfolio

  • Act as a trusted advisor guiding customers through financial planning best practices

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Solutions, Product, and Engineering

  • Provide feedback to improve product workflows and customer experience


What You BringMust-Have Qualifications
  • 3–6 years in FP&A, finance/strategy consulting, strategic finance, transaction services, PE/VC analysis, or investment banking (client-facing)

  • Strong understanding of:

    • Financial statements

    • Driver-based modeling

    • Headcount and budget forecasting

    • Scenario analysis

  • Prior experience communicating directly with external business clients

  • Strong ability to simplify and explain complex financial concepts

  • High proficiency in Excel

  • Analytical, structured thinker who can go 0 → 1 in unfamiliar environments

  • Authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available)

Nice-to-Have Qualifications
  • Experience implementing software or onboarding customers

  • SQL knowledge or willingness to learn

  • SaaS or startup environment experience

  • BI, analytics, or data-modeling exposure
