Job description

At Encore Fire Protection, we are proud to be the east coast's largest full-service fire protection company, serving over 90,000 customers from Maine to Louisiana. With a team of over 2,200 dedicated employees, we provide innovative, customized fire suppression, fire sprinkler, and fire alarm solutions that protect lives and properties every day.

Our goal is to deliver superior experience to those who trust us to safeguard what matters most. We are passionate about continuous growth, innovation, and maintaining a culture that thrives on success and commitment to safety. Our mission? To be the best fire protection company the industry has ever seen.

The Financial Analyst will be an individual contributor reporting to the Finance Manager and working closely with the CFO, VP of Finance, and the broader finance organization. Your focus will be on making our financial reporting sharper, our analysis more insightful, and our processes cleaner and more scalable.

This role is a chance to sit close to numbers and even closer to decisions. You will build models, support key reporting packages, and help connect operational reality to financial results. If you get a small sense of satisfaction when a workbook finally makes sense to everyone in the room, you’ll feel right at home here.

You will play a meaningful part in the continued growth of the largest full-service fire protection company on the East Coast, and you will see your work show up in real conversations, not just in file names.

You do your best work when you can dig into the numbers, find the signal in the noise, and then explain it in a way that actually lands with non-finance partners. You are curious, a little picky about how models are built, and you care as much about the “so what” as the spreadsheet itself. If that sounds familiar, this role will feel like a natural next step.

Support the preparation of monthly internal and external reporting packages, including analysis and insights.

  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasts.
  • Build and maintain financial models, including operational and productivity measures.
  • Help identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial planning and reporting activities.
  • Collaborate with departments across the organization to provide financial guidance on projects, investments, and business opportunities.
  • Maintain and improve financial planning and reporting tools.

  • Two to five years of related financial experience, including exposure to financial planning and analysis. Experience in a private equity-backed setting or Transaction Services in a CPA firm (QOE modeling or work) is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of how the pieces of a P&L connect, along with working knowledge of the Balance Sheet and Statement of Cash Flows.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Exposure to BI tools and databases is a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Clear, concise communication skills and the ability to explain financial information in a way that non-finance partners can understand.
  • A collaborative mindset and comfort working with teams across the organization.
  • A belief that thoughtful, extra effort compounds over time and does not go unnoticed.

What Will Make You Stand Out?

  • You have a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field with 3+ years of experience.
  • You have a master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field with 1-2 years of experience.
  • Exposure to BI tools and databases is a plus.
  • You have experience in a private equity-backed environment.
  • You have experience in Transaction Services in a CPA firm, including QOE modeling or similar project-based work.
