Job description

Job Summary

The Senior Analyst, Workforce Analytics provides key reporting tools, quantitative analysis, and actionable workforce insights that empower leadership to make data-driven talent decisions and drive business performance. Partnering closely with HR, Finance, Technology, and executive leaders, this role builds scalable reporting frameworks, analyzes workforce trends, and applies statistical and data visualization techniques to solve complex talent and operational challenges.

This is a hands-on, deeply consultative role designed for an analytical professional who thrives in data and enjoys tackling unstructured business problems. Rather than simply generating reports or building dashboards, the Senior Analyst acts as a strategic partner—asking the right questions, discovering root causes, navigating ambiguous data landscapes, and translating complex metrics into clear, compelling narratives that help leaders understand what is happening, why it matters, and what actions to consider.

Key Responsibilities & Principal Accountabilities

  • Strategic Stakeholder Consultation: Partner with HR, Finance, Technology, and business leaders to diagnose workforce challenges, scope requirements, and translate business questions into actionable data solutions.
  • Advanced People Analytics & Modeling: Lead complex workforce analyses using statistical models and forecasting methodologies to assess key HR metrics, predict workforce trends, and support long-term talent strategy.
  • End-to-End Solution Ownership: Manage workforce reporting solutions end-to-end—from initial scoping and requirement gathering to data validation, dashboard build, and executive presentation.
  • Data Storytelling & Executive Communication: Transform raw data and analytical findings into clear, structured, and visually engaging narratives that drive executive decision-making.
  • Data Governance & Integrity: Lead data quality assurance efforts, conduct rigorous validation checks, and maintain high standards of precision across all people analytics platforms.
  • System & Workflow Optimization: Identify opportunities to enhance HR data architecture, reporting capabilities, and analytics tools in collaboration with Technology and HRIS teams.
  • Mentorship & Continuous Improvement: Serve as a mentor and technical resource to junior analysts, keeping abreast of emerging industry trends, data science methodologies, and best practices in workforce analytics.

Position Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree: Required in a quantitative, technical, or business-focused field (Data Analytics, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline).

Required Experience & Technical Skills

  • General Data Analytics: 5+ years of progressive experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related quantitative role.
  • Workforce / People Analytics: Strong experience analyzing workforce/HR data; deep familiarity with HR, payroll, and HCM data structures is required.
  • HCM Reporting & Dashboards: two years of hands-on experience designing and building HCM reports and executive dashboards (Oracle HCM, Workday, or SAP SuccessFactors experience strongly preferred).
  • Technical Tool Stack:
  • Advanced Excel: Expertise in complex formulas, modeling, and data manipulation.
  • SQL: Proficiency in querying, joining, and aggregating large datasets.
  • Data Visualization: Hands-on dashboard development experience using Power BI or Tableau.
  • Statistical Methods: Demonstrated ability to apply statistical modeling, forecasting, and trend analysis techniques to business problems.

Key Competencies & Core Attributes

  • Consultative Problem-Solving: Ability to work independently in ambiguous environments, systematically investigate issues, and drive undefined projects through to resolution.
  • Data Storytelling: Exceptional communication skills with a proven track record of translating complex technical analyses into concise, executive-level insights.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build trust and partner across cross-functional departments (HR, Finance, Tech, Operations).

Work Location & Remote Eligibility

  • Employment Type: Full-Time
  • Work Model: Hybrid / Remote options available (candidates must reside within approved regional states/geographic locations:

  • Georgia
  • Louisiana
  • Oklahoma
  • Tennessee
