• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through initial consultations, systematically documenting each stage of the client's journey from the first meeting to treatment completion.
• Formulate individualized treatment and recovery plans tailored to meet the distinct needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups, integrating therapeutic techniques that resonate with clients.
• Guide both individual and group therapy sessions, creating an open and supportive environment that encourages client participation and expression.
• Monitor and assess client progress against defined treatment goals, adjusting interventions as necessary to optimize results.
• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team, including mental health specialists, primary care physicians, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of intervention plans.
• Maintain ongoing communication with referring physicians and psychiatrists regarding clients' hospital admissions and discharges to uphold continuity of care.
• Recognize and address barriers to recovery, anticipating potential challenges that clients may face during their therapeutic journey.
• Support families and primary caregivers in understanding and managing the mental and behavioral challenges their loved ones may experience.

In this role, you will serve a diverse client base encompassing individuals grappling with various mental health disorders, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. You will be instrumental in helping clients enhance their coping skills and emotional regulation, thus improving overall mental health outcomes. Your ability to empathize and connect with clients will be pivotal in fostering trust and encouraging them to engage actively in their treatment processes.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Possession of a valid state license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling you to convey complex concepts clearly and compassionately to clients and their families.

• Previous experience working as a mental health counselor in telehealth or remote settings.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as AVATAR to ensure accurate and efficient management of client records.
• Experience addressing underlying physical and emotional health conditions, as well as addiction-related disorders.
• Familiarity with American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and standards.
