Conexon is a rapidly growing company working with Rural Electric Cooperatives to build advanced fiber to the home (FTTH) networks nationwide. We are currently looking for a Service and Installation Manager to join our team in Florida.


Location: Remote

Job Type: Full- time

Schedule: Fixed

Overtime: Yes

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Travel: Yes, within FL

Requirements

  1. Provide training for personnel on service, installation processes, and procedures
  2. Provide leadership to technicians
  3. Place requisitions to Manager for field personnel necessary tools and equipment
  4. Enforce proper processes are enforced for maintaining all tools and equipment
  5. Manage the service and installation fleet

       a. Manage day to day maintenance and policy adherence for staff.

6.    Supervise day to day service technician scheduling

        a. Ensure all scheduling requirements are met to exceed customer expectations

7.    Super storm restoration service process

          i. Supervise process for damage notifications

         ii. Manage day to day assigned location service trouble tickets and drop restoration project

         iii. Assist OSP Construction department with troubleshooting as needed

                    a. Troubleshoot from the home to the tap

8.     Assure that monthly hut inspections and maintenance are compliant to company   procedures

          i. Supervise day to day operations of hut maintenance processes and procedures

9. Supervise Connect commercial installations

    a. Supervise commercial installation technicians are properly trained and equipped

10. Assist with supervision of Connect Complete projects

    a. Ensure daily completion of 811/locates of Conexon owned fiber & drops

11. Build/maintain positive business relationships with our co-op clients

12. Travel to co-op clients as needed

13. Assist Conexon Project Managers & Maintenance Managers troubleshoot issues in the field when needed (service troubleshooting, Calix/Hut)

14. Assist with escalated customer complaints/issues as required

15. Other duties as assigned



 Required Qualifications

  • Highschool diploma required (College degree preferred)
  • > 5 years' experience in fiber optic ISP operations/construction field
  • Strong P.C. and Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to use optical test equipment including fusion splicers and OTDRs
  • Safely operate a company vehicle
  • Strong communication skills
  • Initiative to work remotely with limited supervision
  • Strong leadership skills


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
  • Ability to walk long distances on a regular basis 
  • Ability to bend stoop kneel Crouch or reach as required by job tasks etc.
