**This position travels throughout the United States**


Zero dB Communications (ZdB) is a leading fiber optic full turnkey contractor headquartered in Spokane, Washington with offices throughout the West Coast specializing in splicing/testing and placing fiber optic cables. Job duties include traveling to remote job sites for extended periods of time to splice fiber optic cables in both outdoor and indoor settings as well as testing, troubleshooting, reading, creating and maintaining splicing schematics and diagrams. Individuals in this role must be comfortable with full-time travel and working with customers and technology on a daily basis. This is a remote position which means you would travel to the field, from home per assignment. The targeted area for deployment is in the central region of the US, however, is not limited to.

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour based on experience.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • At least 1 year of previous experience in the fiber optic field is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a driving record that meets company's minimum safety standard.
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft applications.
  • In-depth understanding of technology-based services, products and networking.
  • Desirable work experience includes field engineering and project lead responsibility.
  • Able to meet physical requirements: climb ladders, work in confined spaces and/or various heights, lift and/or move up to 50 lbs., squat, kneel, bend, crawl and stand for long periods of time.
  • Enjoy working outdoors in all types of weather.
  • Self-starter with positive attitude and willingness to work.

Schedule:

  • Required to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • 8-12 hours shifts Monday-Sunday.
  • Must be available to work weekends, holidays, evenings and additional hours as needed.
  • Travel is required and will be up to 80% of the assigned duties.

Employment is contingent on successful completion of a pre-employment screen, to include a drug test and an acceptable driving record. This is a safety sensitive position.
