Job description

A1 Consulting Group, Inc. (A1), a reputed and well-established small business in the Raleigh-Durham market, North Carolina, is searching for highly qualified and experienced professional geotechnical engineers available on consulting or free-lancing or on full-time employment basis to join our leadership team. For over 34 years, A1 has been a leader in civil, geotechnical, environmental, and construction engineering services. We are now seeking full-time, part-time, and consulatnt senior engineers (PE) and a geologist (PG) in the upper-level positions to help propel our company to the next level. For full-time positions, there will be equity option in the company upon successfully completing the intial vesting period.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualifications:
    • MUST have Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering discipline (ABET-accredited programs).
    • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in North Carolina or eligible for reciprocity through the NC Licensing Board.
    • Minimum of 10+ years of field experience in the U.S. on public sector projects, particularly in transportation and building sectors valued at $10M or more. Must be experienced in design of shallow and deep foundations, retaining walls, pavements, and other related areas.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Adobe Suite, Cost Estimation tools, Geotechnical & Construction Engineering software, and other DOT-approved platforms.
  • Location:
    • Multiple positions available. Part-time freelancing could be remote, Full-time position based in the vibrant Raleigh-Durham area. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. If you are located outside USA, PLEASE DO NOT APPLY!
