Summary
The Remote Piloted Aircraft (RPA) Simulator Operator/Technician will be required to operate a Predator Mission Aircrew Trainer System (PMATS) training device to generate MQ-9 training simulations in support of the customer's aircrew initial training and recurring flight qualifications requirements. The Operator/Tech shall also be fully qualified to support ongoing maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting components, replacement, upkeep, and repair as required for the deployed PMATS hardware to meet system availability requirements at an assigned OCONUS field location. Position requires a SECRET Clearance or the ability to acquire and maintain one. Position is considered part-time-on-call (PTOC). Each time you are called to support the program, you will work OCONUS for 45 hours/week, for three (3) months at a time. The position is typically called upon to support the OCONUS training location two (2) times per year.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure RPA Simulator(s) and associated systems operate in accordance with implemented quality and fidelity standards to support customer training requirements
  • Provide customer service support and address customer needs in a timely manner
  • Perform the tasks of a simulator console operator during customer training events
  • Perform pre-flight and post flight operations
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks on the RPA Simulators and associated simulator systems
  • Diagnose and correct routine maintenance issues on the RPA Simulators and associated simulator systems
  • Install changes and updates to simulator system hardware and software as authorized utilizing documented procedures
  • Utilize maintenance management system to record and track maintenance activities
  • Perform logistics duties as required, including parts received, repair, and testing/validation
  • Apply comprehensive knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or similar documents
  • Train other technicians as required
  • Perform housekeeping functions to maintain the simulators as required
  • Learn and comply with CAE quality management system.
  • Perform all administrative tasks as required
  • Complete all company designated training activities
  • Actively pursue continued professional growth and training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Surveillance & Reconnaissance (ISR), Close Air Support (CAS), and Aerial Interdiction (AI)
  • Experience supporting IQT and MQT syllabus events
  • Demonstrated ability to role play assets in various scenarios
  • Ability to work in a stand-alone environment with telephone support as needed
  • 2-year technical degree or equivalent related training
  • Minimum of 3 years direct simulator experience with at least 1-year relative simulator
  • Knowledge and experience working in a Windows, LINUX, UNIX based computer system environment
  • Experience troubleshooting complex problems and troubleshooting RPA related systems
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and electrical diagrams
  • Ability to use and interpret diagnostic data
  • Ability to perform preventive maintenance, pre-flight, and post flight checks on RPA Simulators
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
  • This is an overseas Field Service position and may require travel to other overseas locations.
  • Prospective employees must be able to work independently and interface with the customer and home office when travelling.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
  • Fluency in English

All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.
  • Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Work Environment
  • Duties performed in an office environment and manufacturing facility.
  • Must be able to work overtime on and off shifts as required.
  • The employee is on call 24x7 for the resolution of problems and issues.
