SR Solutions Engineer Latin AMER Focus - Flight Deck & Flight Planning
The Jeppesen ForeFlight Commercial Aviation Go-to-Market Team is seeking a dynamic and collaborative Solutions Engineer specializing in Flight Planning & Dispatch and Flight Deck solutions. The ideal candidate should possess a strong technical background, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and business partners primarily focusing on the Latin AMER region. This role will be remote from São PauloBrazil, must have right to work in Brazil.
In this role, you will partner closely with Sales Account Executives in pursuit of Jeppesen ForeFlight revenue opportunities in the commercial aviation sector. You will leverage a blend of customer understanding, technical proficiency, and effective storytelling to propel complex, strategic deals towards closure. As the technical conscience of the sales team, you will be a trusted partner to our customers, providing strong value propositions of our software solutions to address our customers' challenges. Key to this position is understanding aviation customer needs, pain points, business processes and technical vision and translating these into business solutions.
Job Functions:
  • Partner with Sales Account Executives on opportunity analysis, deal activities, pipeline planning and forecasting to grow key commercial accounts.
  • Delivers technical expertise to sales opportunities focusing on Electronic Flight Bag, Fuel Efficiency, Flight Ops Engineering, and Flight Planning & Dispatch solutions.
  • Lead assigned sales and campaign activities and contribute to the development of account strategies.
  • Identifies Jeppesen ForeFlight solutions that meet customer goals and objectives and formulates the positioning of these solutions to strengthen the customer's competitive position.
  • Develop strong relationships with customer leadership (technical and business decision makers).
  • Works with management to coordinate resources across the organization to carry out complex software sales.
  • Stays informed about industry trends and competitor's products and services.
  • Understands and clearly articulates features, functions, value and benefits of Jeppesen ForeFlight products and solutions. Specifically related to Flight Deck and Flight Planning & Dispatch solutions.

  • Prepare, present and demonstrate technical system abilities and benefits of Jeppesen ForeFlight products.

  • Participate in tradeshows and other company and industry events as directed.
  • Support the Customer Success team with software adoption motions and proactively plan to prevent post sales issues that shorten time to revenue.
  • Drives RFP technical response activities.
  • Provide Voice of Customer to internal Product teams to improve product quality.
  • Train/mentor other members of the SE team
  • Travel up to ~50% - primarily in Latin AMER but also global

Basic Qualifications (REQUIRED Skills/Experience):
  • 7+ years working with commercial airline operations.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
  • Must have the right to work in Brazil.

Preferred Qualifications (DESIRED Skills/Experience):
  • In depth experience with complex aviation applications (flight operations and flight deck) and IT/technical customer facing work.
  • Experience working in a technical presales (sales/solutions engineering) role.
  • Strong knowledge of Jeppesen ForeFlight software commercial solutions in our Flight Deck (i.e., FliteDeck Pro) and Flight Planning & Dispatch product lines is highly desirable.
  • Experience using or developing flight performance calculation workflows (takeoff and landing distances, climb performance, fuel consumption and range estimation, cruise speeds and altitudes, and/or weight and balance analysis).
  • Pilot experience is extremely beneficial
  • Demonstrated experience and comfort level engaging with key customer stakeholders from the CIO to end users.
  • Broad understanding of IT trends, emerging technologies, and IT best practices.
  • Motivated self-starter who can work independently and has demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Experience with Value Based Selling.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbally and written) in proposal preparation and presentations.
  • Creative problem-solving capability, strong analytical and listening skills.
  • Ability to work effectively, add value as a team member and assume a leadership role for the team.
  • Ability to establish relationships quickly and coordinate across various groups and functional teams.
  • Ability to interact with different cultures and at different leadership levels with ease.
  • A degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering, Administration, Science & Technology or equivalent.
  • Fluent in Portuguese

Pay Range: 308,000/375,000 BRL
