The Head Start Youth Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our dynamic team. This full-time position allows for remote work while also providing outpatient services to families and individuals in the Albany, Georgia area. As a remote position, the role of LMFT affords you the flexibility to manage your work schedule while providing essential outpatient therapy. The Head Start Youth Counseling Center's infrastructure supports telehealth services and remote engagements, ensuring you can deliver care effectively while maintaining a work-life balance. Our outpatient office is equipped with the necessary technology to facilitate communication between staff and clients, making it easier to coordinate care effectively.

• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients’ psychosocial issues and create targeted treatment plans in collaboration with our interdisciplinary team.
• Provide individual and family counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to the specific needs of each client.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and charting to ensure compliance with federal and state healthcare guidelines.
• Facilitate referrals to appropriate group therapy, psychiatric medication management, psychological testing, and substance abuse services as required.
• Participate actively in crisis intervention strategies and follow departmental policies on client follow-ups.
• Engage with mental health committees or task forces to contribute to ongoing performance improvement initiatives.
• Support non-patient care responsibilities, including administrative tasks related to program evaluations and reporting.

Your primary focus will be on providing mental health counseling services to families and youth facing a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relational difficulties. The diverse client population demands sensitivity and adaptability to cultural backgrounds and individual circumstances, ensuring that therapy is relevant and constructive for each client.

• A valid and active license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Georgia.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in assessing and treating diverse clinical populations.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with clients and interdisciplinary team members.

• Previous experience in an outpatient mental health setting, providing therapy to youth and families.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient documentation and care management.
• Experience in conducting family therapy and handling complex cases involving multiple stakeholders.

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 104,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, you will have access to benefits including:
