Job Description

ASG is seeking a senior executive to serve as Account Executive and Growth Officer (AGO) for our Defense Portfolio. The leader will have full accountability for portfolio growth, including pipeline quality, win rates, revenue realization, and long-term account expansion across the defense and homeland security community. This role blends enterprise growth strategy with hands‐on execution—from early market shaping through award and post‐award expansion. The AGO will partner closely with the CEO, COO/CTO, and delivery leadership to deliver differentiated, compliant, and mission‐aligned solutions.

What You Will Do

Growth & Revenue Ownership

  • Own multi‐year growth strategy across DoD and DHS components.
  • Deliver quarterly growth targets tied to pipeline, win probability, awards, and revenue realization.
  • Drive book‐to‐bill performance and topline revenue growth.

Capture & Competitive Strategy

  • Lead capture for large‐scale opportunities ($50M–$1B+).
  • Shape priority IDIQs, GWACs, BPAs, and defense‐specific contract vehicles.
  • Implement disciplined capture processes: competitive intelligence, price‐to‐win, solution positioning.
  • Serve as executive sponsor for must‐win programs and strategic recompetes.

Mission & Solution Alignment

  • Align growth strategy with ASG's capabilities in cybersecurity, DevSecOps, digital identity, cloud, AI/ML, and advanced analytics.
  • Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS, RMF, NIST, FedRAMP, and defense security requirements.
  • Translate warfighter and national security mission needs into executable technical solutions.

Executive Engagement

  • Build trusted relationships with senior defense and homeland security leaders.
  • Represent ASG at industry days, defense forums, and strategic briefings.
  • Develop teaming strategies with large primes, integrators, OEMs, and emerging technology partners.

Leadership & Governance

  • Build and lead high‐performing BD, capture, and proposal teams.
  • Establish growth dashboards, reporting cadence, and executive‐level metrics.
  • Drive a culture of disciplined execution and accountability.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What We Need

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 15+ years leading federal growth within defense or homeland security markets.
  • Proven success winning and scaling contracts across DoD or DHS.
  • Deep understanding of defense acquisition pathways and competitive dynamics.
  • Experience leading large IDIQ pursuits and strategic recompetes.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to engage senior defense stakeholders.

Preferred

  • Prior P&L ownership or direct accountability for revenue growth, margin performance, and book‐to‐bill results.
  • Experience supporting defense IT modernization, mission systems integration, cybersecurity, zero trust, cloud transformation, C5ISR, or classified environments.
  • Familiarity with acquisition models and contracting approaches within the U.S. DoD, DISA, US Army, or DHS.
  • Active security clearance (Secret, TS, or TS/SCI).
  • Demonstrated success building and scaling high‐performing growth organizations within high‐growth federal defense contractors.
