• Conduct individual, couples, and family therapy sessions tailored to address the specific emotional and relational challenges clients encounter during their rehabilitation process.
• Perform thorough assessments to assess clients’ relational dynamics, emotional struggles, and objectives for recovery. Develop detailed and personalized treatment plans that seamlessly integrate mental health strategies with rehabilitation goals.
• Employ family systems theory and therapeutic techniques to enhance communication, facilitate conflict resolution, and teach coping strategies among clients and their families.
• Collaborate closely with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including physical therapists and occupational therapists, to create a cohesive care plan that addresses the broader objectives of client health.
• Provide rapid support and crisis intervention during particularly challenging transitions in rehabilitation, offering a safe space for clients to express their struggles and concerns.
• Maintain comprehensive and confidential client records, including progress notes and treatment plans, adhering strictly to legal and ethical standards.
• Educate clients and their families regarding the emotional challenges of rehabilitation, equipping them with tools and strategies to strengthen family connections and improve coping mechanisms.
• Stay updated on advancements in marriage and family therapy as well as rehabilitation best practices, dedicating time to ongoing professional development through training and workshops.

Your primary focus will be on individuals and families grappling with the multifaceted nature of recovery from mental health issues or physical rehabilitation challenges. Many clients may face co-occurring disorders, requiring you to have a nuanced understanding of how emotional and relational dynamics impact recovery.

• Active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Washington state.
• Conferred Master’s degree or higher in Marriage and Family Therapy or a similar field.
• Demonstrated experience in a therapeutic role within a rehabilitation environment is essential.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are required to effectively support clients and collaborate with team members.
• A strong commitment to ethical and confidential therapeutic practices is imperative.
• Ability to function effectively within a multidisciplinary team structure.

• Previous experience in a remote therapeutic setting, utilizing telehealth technologies and virtual therapy methods.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices related to trauma-informed care and family therapy interventions.
• Experience with diverse patient populations, including those from varied cultural backgrounds and with differing recovery trajectories.

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
