Key Responsibilities

Your daily tasks as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor will include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining accurate and detailed records of client sessions and treatment progress within an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
  • Providing both face-to-face and telehealth therapeutic services, adapting approaches as necessary to meet the consumer's preferences and needs.
  • Collaborating with families and caregivers to monitor clients’ treatment responses, providing education and support to facilitate positive behavioral changes.
  • Participating in clinical meetings and interdisciplinary collaboration to enhance the overall quality of care delivered to clients.
  • Completing required training and professional development activities while maintaining licensure in good standing throughout your employment.
  • Offering crisis intervention services and being available for on-call support during after-hours as needed.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • A valid license in the District of Columbia as an LPC, LMFT, or LICSW.
  • A Master's Degree in a mental health field or human services-related discipline.
