• Conduct thorough and sensitive trauma-informed mental health assessments to pinpoint the trauma history of patients and to determine suitable treatment strategies.
• Design, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans that target trauma recovery, focusing on enhancing resilience and mental health.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methodologies, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.
• Deliver individualized and group therapy sessions aimed at guiding patients through the trauma processing journey and equipping them with effective coping strategies.
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and allied professionals to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive care approach for all clients.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients.
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and coping mechanisms, helping them navigate their treatment journey with understanding and support.
• Maintain accurate, confidential records in accordance with state and federal legal requirements, alongside ethical standards in mental health practice.
• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and training sessions to further enhance your knowledge and skills in trauma-informed care.
• Stay informed of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to continually enhance the quality of care provided.

The primary clientele for this position includes individuals who are survivors of various forms of trauma. Our patients come from diverse backgrounds and experiences, necessitating a tailored approach to treatment that acknowledges their unique stories and needs. As a mental health therapist here, you will play a pivotal role in helping clients navigate their healing journeys, offering them hope and empowerment.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical or counseling setting.

• Demonstrable knowledge of trauma-related disorders and experienced in implementing trauma-informed treatment modalities.
• Experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies, showcasing a successful track record of helping clients achieve positive outcomes.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on building rapport and trust with clients.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems for streamlined documentation and patient care tracking.
• A collaborative spirit, with a willingness to work within a diverse team of mental health professionals.
