What are some common challenges faced by professionals working in remote eye tracking roles, and how can they be addressed?

Professionals in remote eye tracking often encounter challenges such as ensuring data accuracy across different devices and environments, addressing privacy concerns, and troubleshooting technical issues remotely. To address these, it's important to stay updated on the latest eye tracking software and hardware standards, maintain clear communication with participants or clients, and develop strong problem-solving skills for remote diagnostics. Additionally, collaborating closely with UX researchers, developers, or clients helps ensure successful project outcomes and continuous improvement.

What is remote eye tracking?

Remote eye tracking is a technology that allows for the measurement of where a person is looking (their gaze) on a screen or in a real-world environment without requiring them to wear any specialized headgear or glasses. Instead, a camera—often integrated into a monitor or placed nearby—captures eye movements from a distance. This method is widely used in research, usability testing, marketing, and healthcare to understand visual attention and user behavior. Remote eye tracking is non-intrusive and can be used with participants of all ages, providing valuable insights while maintaining comfort.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote eye tracking specialist, and why are they important?

To excel as a Remote Eye Tracking Specialist, you typically need a background in psychology, neuroscience, human-computer interaction, or a related field, along with strong data analysis skills. Familiarity with eye tracking software (such as Tobii Pro or EyeLink), data visualization tools, and possibly programming languages like Python or MATLAB is valuable. Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication are crucial soft skills for interpreting data and collaborating with research teams or clients. These competencies are essential for producing accurate, meaningful insights that drive user experience improvements and scientific research.

Job description

Manager / Senior Manager Client Services US – Full time

Talented or aspiring salespeople who are persistent, eager to learn and have a solid background in Market research will thrive in this role. The Manager / Senior Manager of Client Service position is for someone who has a couple of years of experience in account management or client services or wants to move into that field and advance into next steps of their career. This client-centric sales position is focused on expanding and deepening client relationships, identifying new areas of delivery, and optimizing client satisfaction.

If you long for a nimble and agile environment where you, as a Client Service Manager, can be mentored and supported within a well-developed team structure, contribute with new ideas, and see tangible results and impact, EyeSee is the right place for you.

What do we do?

EyeSee is one of the fastest-growing global behavioral insights companies based in New York, Ghent, Paris, London, Belgrade, Mexico City, and Singapore. By using an award-winning combination of remote methods such as eye-tracking, facial coding, virtual shopping, and survey, we measure and enhance the impact of shopper marketing, advertising, innovation, UX, and e-commerce.

We leverage innovative technology to bring highly reliable behavioral research to global clients such as Mondelez, Google, Twitter, Microsoft, Colgate-Palmolive, and many others. Our ambitious growth opens exciting new possibilities across the globe – and deepening and expanding our client accounts in the US is one of our priorities.

How do we work?

The team at EyeSee is excited about innovation, problem-solving, and ensuring our clients receive the best value out of our reliable behavioral research. Our culture is one of experimentation, invention, personal growth, and courage in tackling business challenges, with a pinch of unique character. Our grit and resourcefulness helped us grow from a two-person Belgian startup into a recognized global player in the Insights industry - and we are enjoying the ride! We believe that personal fulfillment, sustainable company growth, and client success can, and should, reinforce each other.

What is this role about?

Our mission is to make behavioral insights the norm – Managers of Client Service at EyeSee will work with client-side stakeholders to help them exponentially improve the way they obtain insights about consumers or users.

This role requires a deep understanding of client needs and our growing portfolio of solutions, coupled with adaptability to different industry verticals (CPG, Healthcare, Media, Tech, etc.). Through expanding and fortifying client relationships in the US market, you will support our Client Service Directors on their strategic global account management efforts while in parallel independently leading tactical client accounts and honing your Client service skills.

  • Grow existing client accounts and establish new buyers within them that would benefit from EyeSee’s scalable remote solutions
  • Develop and sustain client relationships through meetings, presentations, networking, conferences, etc.
  • Drive an increase in sales to achieve our ambitious growth plans and increase account ARPA (average revenue per account)
  • Present EyeSee’s capabilities to Fortune 500 global companies, understanding their business outlook and demonstrating how EyeSee could partner them in the long-term
  • Stay current with the competitors' strengths and weaknesses; effectively articulating EyeSee's unique competitive advantage in the market
  • Extract the maximum value out of EyeSee’s CRM tools to foster client retention
  • Collaborate with other teams (Brand and Communication, Pre-sales, Insights, Product, R&D) to push our growth forward.
  • Supported by a designated team for the RFP/RFI process

What do you need to excel in this role?

If you are all about fostering and growing client relationships, are a great communicator, eager to grow in a new position selling complex products, are flexible and ready to learn from a team of experienced business developers and account managers, this position might be the perfect next step in your journey. Please note that we are looking for the right profile and ambition fit - and less so for an exact number of years of experience.

  • 3+ years of experience working in market research or consumer behavior – strong research background and understanding
  • 2+ years of sales experience in a market research environment, OR a strong desire to move into a commercial role within market research
  • Native-level spoken and written English
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Record of success in sales if coming from a previous commercial role
  • Proven Skillset in account management, customer communication, presenting & proposal-building if coming from a previous commercial role
  • Strong team-playing and hands-on mentality
  • Problem-solving thinking and decision-making abilities
  • Interest in innovation, consumer insights, and marketing
  • We seek great talent in all regions of the US but being located in Chicago/NYC could be advantageous. This role can be fully remote with optional visits to the office

We offer:

  • Work in a fast-growing, technology-driven research company
  • Competitive base pay and uncapped/progressive commissions
  • Education and development budgets
  • 23 days of paid holiday leave (including company closing between Christmas and New Year)
  • Mobile phone subscription
  • International and adventurous team building trips
  • And many other personalized & fun benefits!

We look forward to meeting you!
