Hotel Sales & Marketing Coordinator (6-Month Contract)

Location: Best Western Plus Valemount Inn & Suites, Mountaineer Lodge, The Robson, or Vantage Hotels Corporate Office (remote with occasional travel to properties)

Reports To: Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Vantage Marketing Department

Term: Six (6) Month Contract

Position Summary

The Hotel Sales & Marketing Coordinator supports the commercial success of Vantage Hotels through sales, marketing, client relationship management, and administrative coordination.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, working in a fast-paced environment, and gaining exposure to multiple areas of the hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

Identify and prospect new corporate, government, tourism, sports, and group business opportunities.

Assist with sales calls, presentations, proposals, contracts, and RFP submissions.

Follow up on leads and client inquiries in a professional and timely manner.

Maintain CRM records within Microsoft Teams.

Build relationships with local businesses, tourism partners, and community organizations.

Represent Vantage Hotels at networking events, trade shows, and community functions as required.

Marketing

Working closely with the Vantage Marketing Department:

Assist with social media content creation and scheduling.

Capture photo and video content for promotional campaigns.

Support email marketing, newsletters, and digital campaigns.

Help maintain brand standards and identify opportunities to grow brand awareness.

Administration

Prepare contracts, group documentation, and rooming lists.

Coordinate site inspections and client visits.

Assist with billing, invoicing, and event planning.

Maintain organized sales files and databases.

Provide administrative support to the COO, Marketing Department, and hotel leadership teams.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will:

Be enrolled in or recently graduated from Hospitality, Business, Tourism, Marketing, or a related field, or possess equivalent experience.

Have excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Demonstrate strong organization, attention to detail, and time management.

Be proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams.

Work effectively independently and as part of a team.

Hold a valid Class 5 (or higher) Driver's Licence with a satisfactory driver's abstract.

Previous hotel or tourism experience is an asset but not required.
