The Role at a Glance

The Specialist, Stable Value Contracts will apply knowledge and subject matter expertise to the effective administration of stable value contracts, as well as deliver on regular assignments and projects. Contract administration includes, but is not limited to, drafting contracts, researching and responding to issues with existing contracts, and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.

What you'll be doing

Contract Review & Analysis

  • Serves as key accountable party for independent review and analysis of new stable value contracts and contract amendments, ensuring specified terms and delivered services are accurately captured.
  • Researches and responds to inquiries on new and existing contracts, making determinations and advising stakeholders on next steps.
  • Collaborates with Product Management to assess how new product offerings involving stable value funds will affect current and future contract documentation.

Database Management & Compliance

  • Ensures the Stable Value database is fully leveraged to support end-to-end contract lifecycle management in compliance with applicable state filing restrictions.
  • Partners with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and compliant transfer of key information into the stable value database, including crediting rates and state regulatory requirements.
  • Adheres to all applicable statutes, regulations, and company protocols; stays current with the state filing team and applicable filing restrictions.

Issue Resolution & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Resolves issues by reviewing data and engaging appropriate internal/external stakeholders to identify root causes within the process.
  • Provides information, education, and training on processes, procedures, products, and services within assigned area(s) of responsibility.

Operational Execution

  • Performs and delivers on routine assignments and projects, applying subject matter knowledge within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Provides input on the potential impact of proposed processes on current operational approach and compatibility with applicable systems.

Continuous Improvement & Strategic Contribution

  • Identifies and communicates process improvements to management that reduce workload or improve quality within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Maintains awareness of current and emerging trends within assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses their impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate relevant developments into current and future solutions.
  • Supports organizational initiatives by positively influencing and advancing change management efforts at the departmental and/or enterprise level.
  • Participates in and contributes to projects related to Stable Value or Workplace Solutions, as needed.
What we’re looking for
  •  1 - 3 Years of experience in retirement plan operations and/or retirement plan/contract experience
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and data interpretation skills, including the ability to evaluate trends and apply mathematical concepts. 
  • Excellent judgment, discretion, and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage projects in a fast paced environment. 
  • Effective communicator and collaborator with strong interpersonal and relationship management skills; able to influence and build consensus. 
  • Proficiency with Excel and the rest of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), esp. handling and analyzing large datasets, use of pivot tables, and development of reports that support business decision-making. 
  • Ability to perform under stress in cases of emergency, critical or hazardous situations.
  • Ability to work with others in a team environment.
  • Demonstrates solid relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g. management, peers and colleagues).
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task in a time-sensitive environment, while maintaining strict attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style.
  • Demonstrates the ability to use sound judgment and discretion regarding confidential information.
  • Finds common ground and can gain collaboration among management, colleagues and peers; can influence outcomes without directing or
    commanding.
  • Successfully completes regulatory and job training requirements.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% as needed
  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's)

The pay range for this position is $55,700 - $100,200 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees.  In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.  Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
