JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Penn State Harrisburg'sKulkarni Theatre seeks applications for part-time studentpersonnel to assistwithtechnical operations in the KulkarniTheatre.

Event Technicianswill set up andoperate audio, video,and lightingequipmentfor events in the Kulkarni Theatre. This opening will also support hybrid,virtualandhigh profileeventsoncampusincluding other event spaces, and outdoors. Event technicians will also assist in theloading in and outofscenic elementsand technicalequipmentfor live performances in the theatre. This openingalsosupports facility projects andoperationsin the theatre including stagehand work and will be used as labor to move equipment, set pieces, lumber, furniture and other items from storage units and other facilities across campus.

Job DutiesDuties will include but not limited to:
  • Lightingset-up,focus,programmingand operation
  • AudioProduction,SystemSetUp,Mixing
  • Video Production, Broadcast/Editing
  • Backstagemanagement
  • EventSet-up and break-down
  • Basic Carpentry
  • Event/talent management
  • Facility Organization

RequirementsandQualification
  • Should be able to regularly lift loads between 20lbs and 50lbs, with or without accommodation.
  • This opening requires flexible hours,somenights andweekends. Scheduling is based on eventcalendar and tech needs.
