• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' histories, strengths, and treatment goals for appropriate care planning.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans focusing on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and related therapeutic goals.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methodologies, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to aid patient healing.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions designed to support trauma processing and coping strategy development.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and integrated patient care, including medication management if necessary.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and effective support during trauma-related emergencies, including assessment of immediate risks and implementation of safety plans.
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, recovery strategies, and community resources to empower informed coping.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in adherence to legal and ethical standards, ensuring accurate record-keeping and care continuity.
• Engage in continuous professional development, case consultations, and team meetings to refine skills and improve trauma-informed care practices.
• Stay updated with the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy and mental health interventions.

You will primarily work with a diverse population of individuals who have experienced trauma, which may include survivors of abuse, violence, neglect, and other traumatic events. Your expertise will directly address their complex emotional and psychological needs, enabling them to navigate their recovery journeys and fostering resilience in their everyday lives.

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience, ideally in trauma-focused therapy settings.
• Strong familiarity with trauma-related disorders and effective treatment modalities, including active engagement in trauma-informed care.
• Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate approach to patient relationships.
• Adeptness at handling high-stress situations with patience and resilience, contributing to a calm therapeutic environment.
• Proficient in the use of electronic health record (EHR) systems and related computer applications.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team framework.

• Experience with trauma-focused therapy techniques and interventions, particularly EMDR and TF-CBT.
• Previous work in outpatient settings with similar client populations.
• Participation in continuing education focused on trauma and mental health advancements.
